Tja wie lang weg gaat, heeft moeite om uit zijn bedje te komen (nog geen enkele keer voor tienen opgestaan!!).

Deze middag gaan we langs bij vrienden van Ine die een frituur hebben in Sijsele.  Want een bezoek aan een frietkot kan toch echt niet ontbreken!  Lekkere Belgische frietjes (veel veel beter dan French fries!) en een goede frikadel.

Daarna nog een paar administratieve zaken afhandelen bij de bank en chocolade inkopen in de supermarket.  Tja de valies zal terug erg vol zitten!

Ik ben blij dat ik ‘s avonds eens rustig in de zetel kan zitten.  Ine niet, die gaat op vriendinnen-avond en is veel leuker zonder mannen.

Aldus breken we een record: we landen al om elf uur in ons bedje, tijd om wat slaap in te halen

Nadat het frituur gesloten is drinken we nog een koffie en het lieve hondje is bij ons
komen zitten / After they close at noon we enjoy a coffee and their dog is joining us




 

Monday, January 4^th

If you go out late, you always have difficulty to get up next morning (and so we only open our eyes way past 10 o clock).

Lunch we have at a typical Belgium ‘frituur’, this is a small fast food restaurant type MC Donalds where they sell Belgian fries (far better than ‘french fries’) with typical meat.  The owners are friend of Ine.

In the afternoon we go to the bank to do some last administration and some last minute shopping of chocolate.  Our baggage will be ‘overweight’ again.

I am happy that I can just stay home and relax this evening, no appointments for me.  Ine has a girls evening and it seems this goes far better without males involved!

So for the first time we go to bed at 11 o clock, time to catch up some sleep
