Donderdag 1 Oktober – Vrijdag Oktober 2

Vandaag wordt de container geleverd, wat eigenlijk perfect binnen ons tijdschema past. 
Net geen week hier en onze spulletjes staan al voor de deur.

Ze zijn met drie en meteen wordt er ons duidelijk gemaakt dat ze de dozen in de juiste kamer zetten maar
niets uitpakken, alleen de grote spullen zullen ze in elkaar zetten.  Dat was niet de afspraak maar goed we hebben tijd om zelf uit te pakken. De heren vliegen er met veel moed in en in net geen 4 uur zijn ze opnieuw verdwenen. 
Zowat elke kamer staat vol met een of meer dozen.  Onze eettafel en kast hebben de reis niet overleefd. 
Niet moeilijk als je de tafel al hebt laten vallen bij het inladen en de kast in zijn geheel in container propt en
er dan nog spullen op zet.  Maar goed we hebben een verzekering afgesloten dus dat wordt een e mail naar
de verhuisfirma in Belgie.

Het meeste hebben ze gevloekt op onze tuintafel want dat ding is natuurlijk loodzwaar en op onze dressoir wegens
moeilijk Belgisch system om in elkaar te zetten, maar goed beiden zijn gelukt.

UPS had geen zin om aan te bellen dus ligt mijn creditcard letterlijk voor de deur!! 
Ongeloofelijk maar ook dit is de US zeker?

De rest van de dag beginnen we met dozen uitpakken en wordt er ook gebruik gemaakt van skype om contact
te zoeken met het thuisfront.  Ongeloofelijk hoe klein de wereld geworden is dankzij internet. 
Maar het helpt wel om heimwee te voorkomen…

Vrijdag is de eerste echte rustdag en we zijn er eigenlijk wel aan toe.  Geen leveringen vandaag en niets moet
en dus slapen we wat langer en lopen we nog langer in onze pyama.  Heerlijk!!

De rest van de dag wordt gebruikt om nog wat dozen uit te pakken, ja we kennen ons Ine die kan de rotzooi niet
aanzien en alles moet zo vlug mogelijk op zijn plaats. 
Plaatsgebrek ja dat is het enige problem die ze heeft.  Kastjes bijkopen lijkt enige optie….

We gaan ook grote inkopen doen bij Walmart want vanaf nu eten we thuis ipv op restaurant. 

Zoals je kan lezen een echte rustdag.

Thursday October 1 - Friday October 2
 

Today our container is delivered.  Time wise this is ideal as we are still in our first week and our own stuff is
already here.

The company arrives with 3 guys and they make it clear upon arrival they do not unstuff the boxes but just put all
of them in the right room and assemble the big items.  Although this was not the deal we do agree as we still have
some time to do it ourselves.

The gentlemen do start in gear 6 and need just 4 hours to get all done.  Each room has now unstuffed boxes. 
Our dinertable and cabinet did not survive the long trip which is not a real surpise as the table already did fall out
of their hands in Belgium upon loading and the cabinet was stuffed in the middle of the container. 
But we are insured so this will be an e mail towards the Belgium moving company.

The swearing we did only hear when the garden table had to be moved to the back and to install our formal cabinet
as they did not understand the European style of assembly (far too complicated)

UPS was in a rush as they did just drop our credit card in front of our door!  Also this is the US I guess.

We also skype with the homefront.  Unbelievable how small the world has become, thanks to internet.

Friday is our lay by day. 
For the first time we have not do any shopping or have people delivering stuff. 
So we can sleep a bit longer and run around in our pyama as long as we wish

Ine uses the rest of the day to get rid of some boxes as she wants to have the house in order as quickly as possible. 
The only complaint I hear is that she is way short of space so we will need additional cabinets….

As we want to start having diner at home in stead of going to a restaurant each evening we get our groceries from Walmart, ready to start our own life

As you can read this was a lazy day!
