Eind mei zijn we voor een weekje naar Belgie gegaan. Het weer was onze grote vrees , hier in Atlanta is het lekker warm terwijl verwarming in Belgie nog noodzakelijk bleek.

We besloten dus de zon mee te nemen en dat is dan ook goed gelukt , een week met echt prachtig weer , heel goed geslaagd !

We hadden de eer om de nieuwe Internationale terminal uit te testen , heel erg mooi !

Zoals gewoonte veel te veel ingepland voor een korte 6 dagen, alsdus meer vermoeid dan uitgerust maar wel voldaan ! Uit gaan eten , familiefeest ( mijn neefje Quinten zijn Plechtige Communie) en vooral veel terrasjes !

We zijn naar Tilburg geweest naar een voorstelling van Bert Visscher, maar eerst tapas op een terras in Tilburg /
We went to Tilburg ( The Netherlands) to see Bert Visscher ( stand up comedian) but first enjoyed some tapas on a patio of a local restaurant

Eerste nachten in Damme, dan terug inpakken en naar Wingene ( mijn ouders)  / first nights in Damme, next stop Wingene



In Wingene staat de tafel klaar voor een bbq / ready for a Belgian Barbeque !!

Mijn klein nichtje en haar mama / in Augustus krijgt mijn nichtje een nieuw broertje of zusje !

Last month , end of May we went to visit our friends and family in Belgium. We really worried about the weather since Atlanta had gorgeous weather but in Belgium most homes still had the heating on to keep it comfortable !!
So we decided to take the weather with us , and we succeeded as we had a week with gorgeous weather, an absolute great trip !!

We had to honor to check into the new international terminal , very nice !

As usual we planned too much in too few (6) days,  so we returned rather exhausted versus relaxed , but we had a great time and that is all that matters! Dinner with friends, family reunion ( My nephew Quinten did celebrate his Confirmation) and we did spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying food or a drink , yes sometimes till late at night ( 2 am !! )
