Maar voor het verlof eerst nog even heen en terug naar ons kantoor in Mexico City. Donderdag bij terugkomst voor het eerst via nieuwe internationale terminal in Atlanta. Al een ganse tijd wordt er een ganse poepoe gemaakt hoe gemakkelijk het zal zijn en veel tijdswinst voor wie ATL als eindbe- stemming heeft. Nou dat viel me echt wel tegen, tijdswinst nul komma nul want je hebt 20 minuten nodig om bij de parking te komen (als de shuttle al komt opdagen, duurde bijna 40 minuten en 3 telefoontjes). Dus wie Bartje kent weet dat hij 'met humeur' thuis kwam. En we niet thuis was, was onze poes Fluffy. Ook niet later op de avond toen Ine thuis kwam van avondje teambuilding. En wij kennen onze poes, da;s een gewoonte-beestje. Ine nog gaan roepen en zoeken maar dat werd niets.
Aldus werd de verjaardag in mineur begonnen want nog steeds geen Fluffy, ook niet 's avonds toen we terug thuis kwamen van het werk. Toch flesje gekraakt en kado's opengemaakt (Ine vindt dat ik cadeau moet schrijven, maar da's ouderwets) maar we misten toch wel fuffy. Tot opeens rond een uur op elf er opeens bekende kop voor de deur stond. Jawel na 2 dagen stond mevrouw opnieuw voor de deur.
Het week-end besteedt aan laatste aankopen voor Belgie en natuurlijk ook gaan genieten van het eerste zwembad-weekend. Water was heerlijk koud, dat zal binnen aantal weken helaas wel anders zijn. Maar goed het is tijd voor verlof.....

Before our holiday I had to make a quick trip to our office in Mexico City. Upon my return, the international terminal was open for the second day. A lot of marketing hipe about how easy it will be and how much time you will win if ATL is your end destination. Well I can tell you you win zero minutes as the shuttle to the parking takes about 20 minutes (after I waited 40 minutes for a shuttle to show up and ony after I made 3 calls..) So for the one's who know me: I was pretty upset by the time I got home. Could it get any worse? Yes it could as Fluffy our cat did not show up, not even later in the evening when Ine came home from an evening team building. We know our cat a bit and this is not something Fluffy does.
My birthday did start sad as Fluffy was still not around. By the evening still no Fluffy and both Ine as myself did not fully enjoy the bottle of champagne and the nice presents. At 11pm all of a sudden we saw a familiar face, indeed there she was Fluffy. Hungry and pretty tired but she was back.
The week end was used to do last minute shopping and of course our first trip to the pool: the water was lovely, a pitty it does not stay that cold. We are ready for our holidays.....
