Na een ontbijt in het restaurant waar "The Birds" van Hitchcock lang geleden werd opgenomen, stond er een vrij rustige dag gepland.
After a breakfast in the restaurant where "The Birds" from Hitchcock was recorded a long time ago, a relatively relaxing day was scheduled.
De route voerde door het binnenland en langs een lange baai met vrij druk verkeer door de zondagsrijders die oesters kwamen eten. Heerlijk!
Achteraf gezien was hij echter pittig met continue kortere klimmetjes, maar wel steil met frequent 10% en meer. Uiteindelijk was ik uitgeput and heel blij dat het einde van de trip bereikt was. 1 problem: het hotel was niet waar gepland, maar 3 km en 125 HM verder..
The route went through the country and along a long bay with rather busy traffic due to Sunday tourists that came to eat oysters. Delicious!
Clearly the day was much more challenging than expected with a lot of shorter climbs, but steep ones frequently close to 10% or above. In the end I was exhausted and very glad that I reached the end of the scheduled trip. One problem: the hotel was not there, but 3 km and 125 meters of elevation further..
