hello all, this will be my last message in this blog. The G&T was gooood, the meal and the wine were quite ok too and I have watched Sex and the City, so had an entertaining evening. Marc has watched the last Indiana Jones movie, but on a 15 x 25 cm screen, the effects are minimal! We arrived at Heathrow on a bright and sunny (!!) Saturday afternoon at about 13:25 hrs, and could still spend some time and dimes in the tax free shops of Terminal 5. We had a last Starbucks-treat and then it was time to board for our mini-flight to Brussels. A welcoming committee consisting of the two daughters was waiting for us and we went for some pizza in the local pizza restaurant. At home, the fridge had been filled, bunches of roses were placed here and there, ...it was really nice to come home ! But as we didn't have much of sleep on the plane, our bed was crying our names out loud by 21:30 hrs and so we hit the sack. After all, Marc had to go to work the next day...
And that was the end of a great adventure, of a beautiful trip with magnificent views, nice people, new friendships, lots of fun, astonishment, disbelief, eggs and cheese, muffins and bad coffee, long distances, bottles and bottles of water, sweating and heavily breathing, cereal bars, beautiful animals and a feeling of space that you simply cannot find in Europe as all is so bumped onto eachother.
What a country! What a trip ! What a fantàstic memory! To all of you: thank you for reading our little reports, we enjoyed writing them, we hope you all had fun reading it. For sure we will go back to the US and we will keep you informed in due time when you can start reading again!
Bye for now, you have been a great audience ! warm regards, Marc & Ann
