John Woo staat open voor 'The Expendables 3'
 Regisseur John Woo wordt al enige tijd in verband gebracht met de regie van The Expendables 3. Ook de fans van de filmserie zouden wel oren hebben naar de Chinese regisseur, bekend van onder andere de blockbusters Face/Off (1997) en Mission: Impossible II (2000). Tegenover ExpendablesPremiere.com heeft Woo een reactie gegeven.
Op de vraag wat Woo The Expendables 2 vond, zegt hij: It was very big in China and all over the news. It was a great movie. I saw it with my family. We all love the action. Van Damme made a believable villain.
Woo is op de hoogte dat de fans hem graag het derde deel zien regisseren. Woo: (Laughs) I read that. I am a big fan of all those guys and I will do it but I want less studio and producer interference. I want to shoot the movie the way I want. Thats the difference making a movie in China and Hollywood. In China, The Studio and producer allow flexibility to the director. One thing for sure is, I want it to take place in China. I also have a vision of this big fight between Jet Li and Van Damme but then they have killed him off.
EX3 moet naar verwachting in 2014 gaan verschijnen.
