The 19th Annual National Town Criers Championsips worden dit weekend gehouden in Toowoomba.
Zeventien bellemannen van over heel Australië zullen mekaar bekampen in de roep voor de titel van Nationaal Kampioen.

Stephen Clarke is de voorzitter van de Ancient and Honourable Guild of Australian Town Criers, hij is eveneens houder van een wereldtitel en hij geeft hier een interview met enkele nuttige tips voor de kandidaten die zullen deelnemen aan de wedstrijd.

19th Annual National Town Criers Competition Event
This year in Toowoomba there will be 17 Town Criers coming from WA and the Alice, Queensland, Victoria and NSW with partners both male and female including the current National Champion and past World Champion.
Australian Town Criers hold positions in the Top Ten in the World. They will be judged on two Crys - their Home Town Cry and a Host Town Cry written on the famours Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.
7 Catergories include: Champion of Champions, Best Written Cry, Loudest Cry (some reach over 100 decibels), Best Scroll, Senior Champion, Best Dressed, Best Dressed Partner.
This is the first time Toowoomba has hosted this Event. It will be taken in Queens Park (North-West corner), at the western side of Botanic Gardens, between Eleanor and Godsall Streets. Host crier and presentator is Ralph James Cockle representing Toowoomba Regional Council acts as Master of Ceremonies and does not compete.
