Overlijdingsbericht.
Luc Debackere,
de belleman van het Westvlaamse Diksmuide,
is deze nacht - 30 juni 2008 - om 02u30 overleden in het ziekenhuis alwaar hij was opgenomen.
De begrafenisplechtigheid is op
vrijdag 04 juli 2008 om 10u00
in de St. Niklaaskerk in Diksmuide.
Op vraag van zijn echtgenote zullen de bellemannen die kunnen aanwezig zijn in hun uniform aantreden om hun collega een laatste eer te bewijzen.

My Guild is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Luc
Debackere. It is always a great loss when one of our colleagues in our
small world of Town Criers finally leaves his bell behind. On behalf of
the Nova Scotia Guild of Town Criers might I ask you to extend the
Guild's sincere condolences to his family and friends. We are sure that
his presence and contribution will be sorely missed.
