Town Crier Competition - 23 June 2007
Following the successful Town Crier Championships at Blakemere Craft Centre in August 2005, Vale Royal is now pleased to host the Loyal Company of Town Criers British Championship 2007.
30 Town Criers and their costumed escorts, including international competitors, will once again be descending on Blakemere Craft Centre on the 23 June from 10am until 4pm.
The Craft Centre's Edwardian stable block will provide the beautiful backdrop for the competition. As well as enjoying the fantastic spectacle of the world's loudest and most colourful characters competing in a number of categories there is plenty to keep all the family entertained.
There are numerous craft shops at the centre offering gifts galore, beautifully handcrafted either on site or around the world including Mexico, India and Thailand. There is a children's indoor playbarn, craft activities and a restuarant & coffee shop.
Parking and entry is free so why not bring the family along and enjoy this very exciting and noisy affair!
