Filmmaatschappij Stage 6 Films, de "direct to dvd"-tak van Sony Home Entertainment, maakt zich gereed om in augustus dit jaar te starten met de opnames van Hostel: Part III. De maatschappij Stage 6 Films was eerder verantwoordelijk voor films als Zombie Strippers!, Starship Troopers 3: Marauder, Boogeyman 3, Vacancy 2: The First Cut, The Grudge 3 en The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day
De regie voor Hostel 3 is in handen van Scott Spiegel(From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money) en het script komt van de hand van Michael Weiss (The Butterfly Effect 2). Volgens de website Bloody Disgusting speelt de tweede sequel zich af in Las Vegas where a bachelor party goes horribly wrong. Met name dat gedeelte van horribly wrong klinkt aannemelijk bij deze lichtelijk zieke franchise.
Eli Roth, schrijver en regisseur van Hostel en Hostel: Part II, bemoeit zich niet met dit derde deel. Op zijn twitter pagina liet hij volgende van zich horen: Rumor Control: not producing Hostel 3, but its in the VERY capable hands of director Scott Spiegel & producers Mike Fleiss & Chris Briggs. There was a huge demand to continue the series and they are the right team to do it. Theyre very smart, creative, and really get it.
