Claire Danes (New York City, 12 april 1979) is een Amerikaanse actrice. Ze werd in 1994 bekend door haar hoofdrol in de televisie serie My So-Called Life, waarvoor ze een Golden Globe Award won en een Emmy nominatie kreeg. Kort na My So-Called Life maakte ze de overstap naar het witte doek en speelde onder andere in Little Women en William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
Danes heeft relaties gehad met onder andere Matt Damon (1996), Ben Lee (2003-2004) en Billy Crudup (2004-2006).
