Eerste recensies 'The Jungle Book' laaiend enthousiast

Met nog ruim een week te gaan tot de wereldwijde release verschijnen ondertussen de eerste recensies online voor The Jungle Book, het nieuwste live-action Walt Disney-sprookje. Klaarblijkelijk was de studio niet bang om de film eerder te vertonen. Het gevolg is een veel, of eigenlijk alleen maar positief geluid. Op Rotten Tomatoes staat de film voorlopig op de volle 100%.

De film van Jon Favreau valt vooral op doordat het eerder een animatiefilm is, a la Avatar dan een live-action film. Naast Neel Sethi's personage Mowgli zien we namelijk alleen uit de computer getoverde"levensechte" dieren voorbijkomen die de meeste mensen kennen als de handgetekende versies uit Disney’s animatiefilm The Jungle Book uit 1967.
