 21st Annual SAG Awards
De PGA, de Producers Guild of America, heeft zaterdag de film 'Birdman' van de Mexicaanse regisseur Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu uitgeroepen tot beste prent van het voorbije jaar.

'Birdman' haalde het van 'Boyhood' van Richard Linklater en 'Grand Budapest Hotel' van Wes Anderson. 'Birdman' won eerder al twee Golden Globes, de prijs van de acteursvakbond SAG en de hoofdprijs van de Independent Spirit Movie (voor indie-films). De film veroverde negen Oscarnominaties. De film gaat over een voormalige acteur in superheldenfilms (rol van Michael Keaton) die op de bühne weer met zijn vergane succes wil aanknopen.
In het televisiegenre gingen de twee PGA-prijzen naar de vijfde en laatste reeks van 'Breaking Bad' en naar 'Orange is the new black' als beste komische reeks.
