Gina Carano de eerste Female Expendable

Haywire ster Gina Carano is gecast in de film die op dit moment door het leven gaat als The Female Expendables. Het project, dat wordt geproduceerd door Adi Shankars maatschappij 1984 Private Defense Contrators (The Grey, Killing Them Softly), kwam vorige maand tot stand naar aanleiding van de succesvolle release van The Expendables 2.

Volgens Shankar was het casten van Carano niet meer dan logisch:

I don’t know how I’m supposed to make a movie that is supposed to be the female version of ‘The Expendables’ without Gina Carano in it. It would be like making Twix without caramel or Jamba Juice without jamba.

Het scenario voor The Female Expendables komt van Dutch Southern. De film staat gepland voor 2015.
