Olga Kurkulina is Mother Russia in 'Kick-Ass 2'
 We hoorden enige tijd geleden al dat het personage Mother Russia een belangrijke rol zou spelen in Kick-Ass 2. Het personage is een voormalig KGB agente, die nu als bodyguard werkzaam is voor Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). Het was toen nog niet bekend wie de rol van het personage op zich zou nemen, maar nu is het nieuws er dan eindelijk. Olga Kurkulina zal als Mother Russia te zien zijn in Kick-Ass 2. Daarover bracht ze onderstaand statement uit.
I competed against other candidates from America, Switzerland and Holland. I spent three weeks in the casting, which took place at Pinewood studios. At the end, the director told me that I was getting a role. This was a difficult time psychologically and physically.
Many people worked hard and from the heart to help me. On August 30th we fly to Toronto for a months shooting on location, and then we go back to London where stunts will be filmed at a local studio.
Now Im train hard, learning new movements for attack and defense working with professionals on my acting and speech training.
