Eerste plotdetails voor Edgar Wrights 'The World's End'
 Na jaren van anticipatie gaat het eindelijk gebeuren. Regisseur Edgar Wright gaat samen met Simon Pegg en Nick Frost aan de slag met het laatste deel in de Blood and Ice Cream trilogie. De opnames voor The World's End beginnen in september met een beoogde release in het voorjaar van 2013. De eerste twee films in de trilogie zijn Shaun of the Dead en Hot Fuzz.
In de film gaan vijf jeugdvrienden in hun vroegere dorp op zoek naar de 'The World's End', een kroeg die iedereen kent maar waar nog nooit niemand geweest is. Hieronder de eerste plotdetails voor de film:
20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The Worlds End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankinds. Reaching The Worlds End is the least of their worries.
Het script werd wederom geschreven door Pegg en Wright en volgt het patroon van de eerste twee films, waarbij moet worden gedacht aan de vele verwijzingen naar bekende films uit hetzelfde genre.
