Vervolg The Dark Knight al in 2011?
 Michael Uslan, uitvoerend producent van The Dark Knight, beweert tegenover de Courier-Post uit New Jersey dat we in 2011 al het vervolg kunnen zien van TDK. Over de nieuwe villains blijft zijn mond gesnoerd:
Uslan will be onboard as executive producer for the "Dark Knight" sequel, which he estimates will be theaters by 2011. As for the identity of the next round of Batman's supervillains and love interests, Uslan remains tight-lipped. "It's one of those deals where if I told you, I'd have to kill you," he says with a chuckle.
Verder werd zaterdag bekend dat The Dark Knight niet de Producer of the Year Award heeft gewonnen tijdens de jaarlijkse Producers Guild of America Awards. Slumdog Millionaire ging er met de eer vandoor. Wel won de film van Christopher Nolan zondag de Screen Actors Guild Awards, was Heath Ledger de Best Supporting Actor en won TDK ook de award voor Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture tijdens de jaarlijkse Screen Actors Guild of America Awards.
