Gary Oldman over The Dark Knight Rises

Vanwege promotieverplichtingen voor Red Riding Hood krijgt Gary Oldman uiteraard ook de nodige vragen om zijn oren met betrekking tot Christopher Nolans The Dark Knight Rises. Tegenover MTV geeft hij toe dat hij het script nog niet gelezen heeft, maar hij wil wel het volgende kwijt over de voornaamste villan van de film:

I think it’s a villain from one of the old, old, from way back from the old comics… It is a Batman villian… It’s not going to be the Joker.

Oldman gaat verder:

It’s a great story — you look at The Dark Knight and think ‘how’s he going to top it?’ but I think he has.

It’s the scope of it, and also the way he kind of brings it back to Batman Begins and really what Christian — what Bruce Wayne discovers about himself, what he learns about himself at the end of this one.

Er zijn verder rollen voor Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt en Morgan Freeman. The Dark Knight Rises moet vanaf 19 juli 2012 in de Nederlandse bioscopen draaien.
