    Walt Disney Studios heeft het logo onthuld voor de film The Lone Ranger, de eerstvolgende samenwerking van de maatschappij met regisseur Gore Verbinksi en acteur Johhny Depp. Samen maakte zij reeds de eerste Pirates trilogie. Van Verbinksi en Depp komt binnenkort de animatiefilm Rango uit.

    Het onderstaande logo werd verspreid door producent Jerry Bruckheimer via zijn nieuwe website.



    Depp speelt in de western de rol van Tonto, de sidekick van The Lone Ranger. De film zal gebaseerd worden op een Amerikaanse radio- en televisieshow uit de jaren vijftig, waarin een gemaskerde Texas Ranger het samen met zijn assistent Tonto opneemt tegen het onrecht in het Wilde Westen. De reeks werd al twee keer zonder veel succes verfilmd: in 1981 als The Legend of the Lone Ranger, en in 2003 als een pilootaflevering voor Warner Brothers.
