Sorry squawkers, u mag gaan slapen... Als solo-studentje mag je hier maximum 10 knopen zijwind hebben. Na eerst de flightmate te zien gecancelled worden, moest ik de laatste ATIS (elk uur wordt er weer- en andere informatie verspreid via een frequentie) afwachten om meer te weten. Wind 310/10kts; wat dus volle zijwind betekent aan 10 knopen; teveel en dus aflassen geblazen...
Vanmiddag nog een beetje gefrustreerd rondlopen en een beetje zwemmen, en hopen op beter morgen...

Vanmorgen rond een uur of 11 kregen de bewoners van Mesa en omstreken het volgende bericht in de bus, of werd het op lokale radio's en televisie-omroepen de wereld ingestuurd:
"Dear citizens of Mesa and surroundings,
Please read carefull the following instructions. They are made for your own safety and security.
Tomorrow, during the early afternoon, it is adviced to watch out very careful into the sky, and to stay - if possible - in your homes. If you cannot, we advice you strongly to be carefull at all times! We have noticed a strange phenomenon of low flying 'things'. This started about 3 weeks ago, and seems to get worse by the day. Our Intelligence Services found a secret code in the messages and we expect the acitivity of low-flying things to be at the top tomorrow. From inside information we got, the core of these activities will take place around Falcon Field Municipal Airport and 'The Springs at Alta Mesa'-appartment complex.
Some other information we have: These 'things' seem to be able to loose their wings. They start flying with real wings in the air. After that, they seem to loose their metalish skin and real wings. Thereafter, they do not touch any soil before they find some water on their way. Once found, each specimen is trown into the water by other like specimen. Being wet, they seem to be able again to step on their feet.
