Selena Gomez Takes Time-Out From Justin to Debut New Songâand Sound Off on the Haters
Selena Gomez Takes Time-Out From Justin to Debut New Songand Sound Off on the Haters
Selena Gomez is all grown up with a mature new sound to prove it.
Not that she feels all that old, as the 18-year-old told our own Ryan Seacrest this morning that she doesn't feel a day over 15. Which is good news for boyfriend Justin Bieber who just became, by virtue of wacky celebrity math default, the sophisticated older man in their relationship.
So what does Selena have to say about her Biebertastic beau?
While appearing on Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show this morning to world premiere her new female-empowering single, "Who Says?," the topic of conversation inevitably turned to the state of her love life.
And Selena could not have played more coy. Refusing to even say Justin's name, she left it to Seacrest to mention the Biebs, and wouldn't comment on her recent Twitter acknowledgment of their relationship, in which she responded to his tweet of "I miss you" with the less clingy more coquettish, "I miss all of y'all."
"I miss everyone when I'm on tour, all my friends are gone," she slyly told Ryan. "It's nice to miss your friends and family."
Even nicer to ignore your haters, which is what Gomez is hoping to do with this tune, which starts out with the love yourself declaration, "Wouldn't want to be anyone else."
"Within that world, there's just such easy access to people's feelings. This song is such a great message to my fans, and it really touched me when I heard it Basically, it's to the haters, it's to the people who try to bring you down."
Sounds good to us. As does the song. And there could be more where that came from.
While Gomez said she has the next year and a half of her life totally planned out"at the moment I have not even a second to breathe within what I want to do"she may find a way to squeeze in some more studio time should this new single be well-received.
The Disney starwho's about to graduate from her four-year tenure at the mouse house with the end of Wizards of Waverly Place in sightsaid that a full album is "still tentative," but something she's currently working on.
And why not? Nothing like a little healthy chart competition to fire up a relationship, right?
Sheen was phoning in from "Sober Valley Lodge," where he claims to still be clean and sober and hard at work on his "manifesto."
"You'll find out more tonight on the show," he said of his continuing Sheen's Korner show on ustream.tv. "I'm busy writing my manifesto from now until then." (Sheen previously announced he was writing a book tentatively titled Apocalypse Me, but he wasn't clear if that was different from the manifesto.)
Sheen tells us he will be solo on tonight's livestream. "I don't need guests. I have one. Me," he said.
Now back to his "troll" costar Cryer. Sheen had been expecting a sympathetic phone call from his Emmy-winning wingman when Sheen first launched his war with show creator Lorre.
"Jon has not called me. He's a turncoat, a traitor, a troll. Clearly he's a troll," said Sheen. "He issued a statement. Is it gonna take me calling him a 'traitor, juvenile and scared' for him to get it?"
(Sheen might be misinformed on this count. E! News has repeatedly requested a statement from Cryer since Sheen first lashed out against the show over a week ago, but Cryer, via his rep, has declined to enter the fray. Cryer did do a sketch on Ellen riffing on his current unemployment but did not address Sheen directly; there was also a fake statement on Twitter from a spoof Cryer saying he was "shocked" with the whole debacle.)
Sheen has kinder words for some other cast and crew of the show, specifically citing several who are "not trolls" because they reached out and called him. Most notably "half man" Angus T. Jones, Conchata Ferrell (Berta the housekeeper), Melanie Lynskey (Rose the neighbor), Marin Hinkle (Judith Harper) and show director Jamie Widdoes.
And if Cryer does decide to reach out now?
"What's there to say? I'll tell him 'You're a little late. Goodbye, troll," said Sheen. "When I'm starring in multimillion-dollar films and he's begging me for a supporting role I'll say, 'You left me out in the cold with all of your guilt and stupidity.' "
On the most recent edition of Saturday Night Live, Miley Cyrus played the roles of Fergie, Lindsay Lohan and Justin Bieber.
But insiders tell Hollywood Life there's another new role Miley has been perfecting: flirt. The singer has reportedly been sending text messages to Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill ever since the Europe Music Awards in November.
Miley wants to keep Jared interested, a source says. She often sends him coy text messages. So far, he is a big fan of what she has been sending.
This mole claims Followill, who hails from Cyrus' hometown of Nashville, is 24 years old and was connected to Julianne Hough in 2009, thinks Miley is "very pretty."
Might we need to prepare ourselves for... Cyrowill? We'll keep readers apprised.
When you think Gwen Stefani, what may come to mind is her two decades of success in the music industry, her sales of 40 million+ albums worldwide, a Screen Actors Guild nomination, her LAMB clothing line and a successful fragrance in her name.
But what else is truly remarkable about this beautiful and extremely talented woman is her successful marriage to fellow musician Gavin Rossdale for 14 years in a place like Hollywood where marriages often last a mere months.
Stefani graces the cover of Elle UK's April issue in which she talks about her marriage, on what drives her and oh so much more.
Here are some excerpts from the interview:
Gwen on what drives her:
"I think of myself as really lazy. My ideal day would be to never get out of bed. No one can force me to do something unless I'm passionate about it."
Gwen on marriage:"I've been with Gavin for 14 years, and, let's face it, that is a huge accomplishment. I feel so proud of that it hasnt been the easiest journey."
Gwen on make-up:"I wear make-up every single day; I like to wear make-up for Gavin and I don't feel energized till I've put it on, then I'm ready to go."
Gwen on modesty:"I have this real masculine-feminine thing: I'm not really that sexy I get all made up and then I like to be a tough girl. I didn't even wear high heels until I was in my thirties! To me, [stripping off] is so boring."

Marketers Beware: Charlie Sheen Now as Unappealing as Bristol Palin, Barry Bonds
Marketers Beware: Charlie Sheen Now as Unappealing as Bristol Palin, Barry Bonds
The former "Two and a Half Men" star's awareness has been boosted by his recent media tour, but his appeal score has dropped 18 percent, according to Marketing Arm's Davie Brown Index.
Marketers beware. Charlie Sheen may be able to command the worlds attention with his frequent rants and self-described tiger blood, but that doesnt mean brands should get into business with him.
In light of the recent media maelstrom and his eventual firing from CBS top-rated comedy Two and a Half Men, we turned to the Marketing Arms Davie Brown Index, an independently conducted survey that brands and ad agencies alike use to determine a celebritys influence, to see how Sheen is currently faring.
While Sheens awareness has shot up he is now better known than Robert DeNiro, Clint Eastwood and Sean Connery his appeal score plummeted 18 percent, putting him at 2,646th among the 2,690 stars the company measures. For perspective, that places him in the same neighborhood as Bristol Palin, Barry Bonds and controversial Redskins owner Daniel Snyder.
As for his trust score, a similarly important metric for marketers considering signing Sheen for an endorsement gig, he currently ranks 2,680th on the DBI index. That puts him in the same range as Courtney Love, Omarosa Stallworth and The Hills bad boy Spencer Pratt.
Finally, when sized up on DBIs aspiration scale, Sheen now comes in at a dismal 2,687th. He is joined in that bottom-of-the-barrel range by Amy Winehouse, Lindsay Lohan and Monica Lewinsky.
'Bachelor' Host Chris Harrison Stands Up for Michelle Money
'Bachelor' Host Chris Harrison Stands Up for Michelle Money
Michelle Money on 'The Bachelor.' (ABC)
When "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison said Michelle would blow people's minds, he was right, as she found herself the center of the Women Tell All attack. Even Harrison admits she was falling apart, and as much as the show plays to the drama, "sometimes enough is enough." Harrison shares with TVGuide.com why Shawntel never made it into the "hot seat" and why he loves the new Ashley H.
Where do we begin with Michelle? Chris Harrison: Three-quarters of the people seem to be happy [that I comforted her] and then there's a small faction that's like, "You stuck up for her. You fell for it." What I felt I needed to do was calm everybody down. ... In the middle of the commercial break I had to get her more Kleenex. She was absolutely falling apart. At the same time Stacey and other girls are going nuts, and didn't even break a stride. At one point I'm looking at them, like: Really, what the hell's wrong with you? I don't mind you jumping on board or stirring things up, but just wait to make it a fair fight. People always think we always want the drama, but sometimes enough is enough.
It seemed like Stacy just wanted TV time. Harrison: She didn't even really know Michelle that well; she just watched the show with the rest of us. Whether you like Michelle or not ... when she jumped on Brad's lap never once did I hear Brad complain. Everything she did from the moment she stepped out of the limo absolutely played Brad perfectly and the other girls; of course, they were intimidated and jealous.
How come we didn't hear from Shawntel at all? Harrison: She was scheduled to sit with me in the hot seat, but things got so crazy and out of hand with Michelle that we did another segment with her. Also, with Shawntel, we felt like you saw everything [during her final episode] and there was no lingering question. With Ashley H there was a question out there and with Ashley S a moment to be resolved.
Were you surprised to see Ashley H doing so well despite being the last eliminated? Harrison: Ashley H had a phenomenal attitude. I didn't expect her to come in heartbroken and devastated and I think she assimilated the whole thing pretty quickly and moved on. Whether she finally admitted it or not, she was in love with Brad, but I don't think anybody wants to admit they were in love with somebody who dumped them. But I think she was, and I think she learned a lot from it. I love the new woman.
Do you still see her as a likely Bachelorette? Harrison: Ashley H, as far as fans go, is a big front-runner. Everyone has sympathy for Ashley S, but from what I can tell from the fans, they're not clamoring for her ... She's one of those girls you just want to hug and tell her it's going to be OK and you hope she will get that self-esteem. That's the only thing she's lacking is the self-esteem a beautiful girl like her should have.
Give us a hint about next week's finale. Harrison: For Brad to come out and say, "I'm in love and this girl has changed my life," doesn't do justice to what he's going to go through in the two hours you'll see next week. I don't think it's as simple and easy as people might be thinking. It's safe to say, there will be tears.
Sources connected with Lorre tell us the mega-producer has been holding internal meetings about keeping the show going. Various options have been discussed, and they have a short list of replacements for Charlie's character.
Our sources say Lorre's people, as well as honchos from Warner Bros., have been in touch with Rob's agent at William Morris-Endeavor, talking about Rob possibly coming onboard.
There are two stumbling blocks for Rob -- he currently stars in "Parks and Recreation," and he grew up with the Sheen family.
No decisions have been made yet, but it looks like there's a real interest in keeping "Men" alive.
Despite labeling his past two episodes Torpedoes of Truth and calling them sermons, Charlie Sheen is now trying to claim his new Ustream show Sheens Korner is entirely fictional after finding out Brooke Mueller planned to use them as evidence in their custody battle. Whoops! #PlanBetter RadarOnline reports:
Its a character in a piece of fiction. Think Lenny Bruce or the Mitchell Bros. Its part of my shtick. As we previously reported, Muellers legal team of Sorrell Trope and Lori Howe will use that webcast to make an argument that the embattled actor is spiraling out of control. Responding to that, Sheen told RadarOnline.com: OK, well they should use Two and Half Men to say I am a drunk and sleep with wh*res. Thats all I am gonna say. Thats my answer. Bring it. Its so f*cking stupid, if thats the best theyve got.
First off, Im pretty sure Charlies last Dateline interview covers that part about sleeping with whores, and as for this being the best theyve got, I dont think it gets any better in a custody battle than video evidence of a violent drug addict saying he wants to cut the throats of children. So now Charlie has to decide: Is he delivering pure warlock truth to his followers or is he trying to hawk Tiger Blood T-shirts by pretending hes imparting winning knowledge? I understand the people who still worship him at this point are technically retarded because even the libertarians realized this shit is getting ridiculous and this was like porn to them, but eventually he either has to actually decapitate an enemy or somehow land a job that pays as much or more than Two and a Half Men to prove he had the best plan all along. Otherwise, congratulations, youre just another junkie who got fired from his job, except with a million Twitter followers because people want to laugh at you spectacularly killing yourself in a fit of crazy talk. (Ive got twenty on his last words being Minotaur balls.)
Summer doesn't officially kick off until June, but "Fast Five" is doing its best to speed things up.
The fifth entry into the "Fast and Furious" franchise arrives on April 28, 2011, promising all the fast cars, tough mercenaries and adrenaline-packed action sequences we've come to know and love from the series. But even though the release date is just a few short weeks away, "Fast Five" really can't come soon enough so we're going to have to settle on a new trailer to tide us over.
Yahoo has the first look at the newest "Fast Five" trailer, delivering on all the thrills, explosions and beat-downs we've come to expect from this cast of characters. Director Justin Lin brings things to a boil with the latest installment of the "Furious" series, gathering its most prominent players including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Ludacris and Tyrese all under the same roof. The reason: to pull off a job worth $100 million in reward, a job that requires some of the strongest and stupidly courageous criminals available in the business.
But as Tyrese's Roman Pearce explains it, this isn't just mission impossible it's mission in-frickin'-sanity, all thanks to an eternally badass FBI agent played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a man who is tireless in his search to bust Dom, Brian and their crew for good. Something tells us we're going to have a hard time figuring out who to root for even though we all know that the audience is the real winner in this fight!

She's a new mother, she has a new figure and she's starring in a new movie.
Indeed, Jennifer Hudson has come a long way since American Idol. In the latest issue of Essence, the singer/actress touches on all these topics and more...
On motherhood: My wish is to be at least half as good as my mother was, as patient and as loving as she was, and to just give that to my son.
On her new body: I didnt realize that so many people were watching me or that so many people were interested. Now people come up to me saying, Youve inspired me, and Im like, Wow.
On portraying Winnie Mandela on the big screen: We were supposed to shoot the film two years ago. But with all that happened in my life, they waited. Even the director was saying, For you to take this project on with everything that happened shows you are really passionate about it. So I just hopped into it. I just really wanted to be a part of telling the story.
Nina Dobrev Talks Fame and Those Pesky Ian Somerhalder Rumors to Teen Vogue
Nina Dobrev Talks Fame and Those Pesky Ian Somerhalder Rumors to Teen Vogue
As if we werent already envious of Nina Dobrev, the coolest girl on The Vampire Diaries landed next months cover of Teen Vogue. And though she looks beyond gorgeous, she insists shes just like you and me.
She told the mag,I just feel like a normal girl, and the whole concept is very odd to me. But other people, like Ian [Somerhalder, costar and rumored-boyf], have had that experience before, so theyre like, Yeah, this is what happens; theres nothing you can do about it.
Speaking of Ian, the mag of course asked if the rumors of them dating were true. What did Nina say? Read on to find out, plus watch a behind-the-scenes video of her Teen Vogue shoot!
On Ian Somerhalder: We expected the rumors. Like, if I wasnt dating Ian, Id be dating Paul. A lot of people who work together end up dating, so it wouldnt be unusual, but Ive never dated anyone Ive worked with.
On her crazy work sched: By the time I get home, memorize the next days work, brush my teeth, remove all the makeup, and shower to get the blood off, and then I have to be back at work in seven hours. I can only do so much.
On growing up: I wanted to be the jock, and I wanted to be a dancer and actress. I was also a gymnast and very academically driven. I always had a lot on my plate and was really overwhelmed. Not much has changedIm constantly trying to one-up myself and raising the stakes.
As soon as 2011 began, of course, Famous reported that Stewart and Pattinson were engaged.
The tabloid prints so many rumors about Stewart, youd think theyd get one right by sheer accident at some point.
That moment hasnt arrived.
According to the latest issue, the reluctant leading lady of Breaking Dawn has buckled under the pressure and is partying the stress away.
Kristens been drinking a lot recently, alleges a Famous source who goes on to explain that the actress starts each day exhausted and hung over.
A Pattinson friend claims Stewart is clearly struggling to cope and that her behavior is getting more and more out of control.
Stewart is so worn down, claims the magazine, its even becoming hard for the films make-up artists to keep her looking fresh.
She comes in most days looking pale, with huge circles under her eyes, explains a so-called insider. Shes not been eating properly either and her face is starting to look gaunt and hollow.
Actually, its this entire story thats hollow not surprising, considering the source.
Month after month, year after year, Famous takes shots at Kristen Stewart. When she wasnt partying, it was because she was aloof and alienated. That narrative fell flat. So now shes supposedly partying too much, and were expected to believe its because she cant handle Breaking Dawn a movie Famous told us she wasnt going to make in the first place.
A source assures Gossip Cop that Stewart isnt an out-of-control party animal off the set.
Its clear that Stewart cant help but run afoul of Famous because Famous cant help but run afoul of the facts.
The tabloid does have one thing in common with Stewarts Bella Swan both inhabit fictional worlds.
Forget Grandma's house. The hot pit-stop last night for "Red Riding Hood" was Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, where the stars walked the carpet for the premiere of director Catherine Hardwicke's fairy-tale redo. Unsurprisingly, stunning scarlet seemed to be the dress code for the affair.
Red, herself, Amanda Seyfried showed off her mile-long legs in a maroon Lanvin mini dress, which she paired with nude heels and a messy up-do. Sure, it wasn't red exactly, but we're dubbing this "Red Riding Hood for the 21st century." Tres chic. Out supporting her former "Twilight" director Catherine, Nikki Reed slinked onto the carpet in a slightly more subdued sweetheart-neckline mini-dress with sheer black underpinning and what looked to be a forest-friendly camouflage-patterned top-layer.
No stranger to things that go bump in the night, "Vampire Diaries" star Katerina Graham flaunted a sultry strapless red bustier maxi dress. Though the color was pitch-perfect against Kat's skin tone, the dress would have been better suited without all those extra swathes of gauzy fabric, which made it kind of look like a maternity dress (we're 99.99 percent sure Kat has nothing to hide...). Also working red was "Sucker Punch" starlet Emily Browning, who wore a shiny satin mini dress. Though it could have done with a bit of eye-catching embellishing, the look was simple, cute and flattering.
While the ladies largely stuck to a consistent style (red and/or short), the "Red Riding Hood" men definitely diverged in the woods. Cutie Max Irons opted for a handsome black suit topped off with a black tie (and tie clip...fancy!), which gave him quite the debonair air. His co-star Shiloh Fernandez, on the other hand, went much more casual (sans tie) in a blue button-up and gray suit, with his pant legs tucked into a pair of lace-up boots. The horror! While we'll give him a few points for channeling his woodsman character with his footwear, we can't condone such sloppy finishing on the red carpet. Call us if you need some style tips next time, Shiloh!
Ghosts Set To Cause Trouble On âTrue Bloodâ; Alexander Skarsgard Talks Ericâs Big Changes
Ghosts Set To Cause Trouble On True Blood; Alexander Skarsgard Talks Erics Big Changes
LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
It looks like Godric wont be the only ghost heading to Bon Temps in Season 4 of True Blood a hauntingly tough time is in store for fans of the shows favorite still-going vampire/human couple Jessica and Hoyt.
According to Jim Parrack, who plays baby vamp Jessicas boyfriend Hoyt, spirits are set to cause trouble for the newly domesticated pair.
Could be, yeah. Could be, Jim said when Access Hollywood asked about ghostly creatures joining the fray on the red carpet at PalyeFest2011. Somethings up with the house.
Alan Ball, creator of the HBO series, inspired by Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse novels, also confirmed ghosts were on their way.
Ghosts, witches, he said of new creatures on their way to the pulpy drama. Everything else weve already met, but there will be new werewolves, new shifters, new vampires. Yeah, ghosts and witches are the new ones, mostly.
It appears Arlene Fowlers half-human, half otherworldly creature baby will also create havoc.
Yes, theres gonna be a problem that grows exponentially, Arlenes portrayer, Carrie Preston, told Access. Its not gonna be what you think. So Arlene is definitely dealing with having to face something thats a little bit bigger than whats shes used to.
While much has been made about the witches being introduced in Season 4, one of the big plot lines will follow Alexander Skarsgards Eric Northman, who loses his memory.
I dont think its a secret that he gets amnesia this season, Alexander told Access. A witch casts a spell and he doesnt know who he is.
I dont want to reveal too much, but hes kind of like a very big baby suddenly, he doesnt know who he is and he needs protection suddenly and you havent seen that before, the tall Swede added.
The first time fans saw Eric in Season 3, he was in a dungeon sans clothing, but despite such racy material, Alexander said he hasnt yet read a script that was too sexy for his own tastes as an actor.
No, I havent had a moment like that yet, where I go, Its a little too much, he said with a grin. I kind of dive in head first and I love it all.
Anna Paquin also said she isnt worried about the sexy scripts, but her real life husband, Stephen Moyer, who plays Bill Compton, said hes had an eye-raising moment once or twice.
Theres a little moment when you do think, My mum, sitting at home, is going to be watching me do a what? What? he laughed.
