Justin Bieber may be resting easier tonight.
The 16-year-old phenom, who admitted to being disappointed by his Grammy loss for Best New Artist on Sunday, salvaged his week by leaving London with the Brit Award for Best International Breakthrough Act.
He had to beat Bruno Mars and the cast of Glee to get that!
And Bieber wasn't the only Grammy refugee to be honored overseas...
Rihanna started out the night in a multicolored, seemingly Cee Lo Green-inspired party dress that immediately had us hankering for slushies and cotton candy, and later quickened pulses by performing in a red rose-inspired mini with a dramatic train. The "Only GIrl in the World" singer was subsequently named Best International Female Solo Artist.
Cee Lo Green, meanwhile, was named Best International Male Solo Artist, but he was practically unrecognizable, having apparently left the plumage and puppets in the U.S. Instead, he wore a black and white Adidas track suit on the red carpet and a lounge-singer style white dinner jacket onstage. But at least his jacket was trimmed in red.
The Arcade Fire, still glowing after their Album of the Year Grammy (yet now having to deal with all the "who are they?" remarks from the hoi polloi), was named Best International Group and The Suburbs was deemed Best International Album.
"Check it out on Google," frontman Win Butler advised whomever is still unacquainted with his band.
Homegrown quartet Mumford & Sons, which made a triumphant Grammy debut performing with Bob Dylan and the Avett Brothers but lost out on two awards (Esperanza Spalding beat them, too), won Best British Album of the Year for their debut effort, Sigh No More.
"We're very honored, very humbled," Marcus Mumford said in thanks.
The alt-folk rockers lost Best British Group, however, to none other than Robbie Williams and fellow '80s dance-pop hitmakers Take That. So there!
But despite the ocean-crossing star power in the room, perhaps the most exciting gent of the night was 22-year-old rapper Tinie Tempah, who won Best British Breakthrough Act and Best Single for "Pass Out," off of his debut album, Disc-Overy. He dedicated his wins to "U.K. music, peace and love."
Lady Gaga had designers up all night for Grammy costumes
Lady Gaga had designers up all night for Grammy costumes
London, Feb 16: Pop icon Lady Gaga caused her fashion designers to stay up all night preparing costumes for her Grammy performance.
The singer threw her design team into a panic in the run-up to her performance at the Grammy Awards - as she scrapped all the costumes two days before the ceremony because she didn''t like them.
The ''Poker Face'' hitmaker played her recent single, ''Born This Way, live for the first time at the prizegiving.
She admitted that her own sci-fi inspired look during the set and the nude-coloured outfits her dancers sported onstage were last minute decisions causing her fashion designers at Haus of Gaga to stay up all night preparing the costumes.
"I actually designed all the clothes for myself and the dancers, and it was two days before the performance, I changed everything because I didn''t like the clothing," the Daily Star quoted her as saying in an interview.
"And I felt so bad because the Haus of Gaga was all red-eyed and up all night and I would be like, ''I hate it, we have to change everything!'' And they would be like (squeaking), ''OK, OK,''" she said.
But Gaga insisted she only changed her mind at short notice because she wanted everyone to look part of one big team to emphasise the meaning behind ''Born This Way.''
She said, "You know because they looked like dancers in the outfits we had and I''m so close with them, and Laurieann Gibson, my choreographer, everyone that''s in the Haus of Gaga, all the creators, we''re so close, everyone in the band, and I don''t want them to feel like, the band and dancers behind me, because the performance of ''Born This Way'' is nothing without all of them, it''s about togetherness." It destroyed my family. Ill tell you right now the damn show destroyed my family, the country singer tells GQ in an explosive interview.
Cyrus, who earlier this year filed for divorce from Tish, his wife of 13 years, says he wishes the show had never happened.
Id take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just be everybody okay, safe and sound and happy and normal, would have been fantastic, he laments.
I was going to work every single day knowing that my family had fallen apart, but yet I had to sit in front of that camera, adds Cyrus, who also starred on the hit series.
He says he took the blame for Mileys scandals, such as the infamous bong incident and the racy Vanity Fair photo shoot, because Im her daddy, and thats what daddies do, but he confesses hes now scared for his daughter.
Shes got a lot of people around her thats putting her in a great deal of danger, says the Achy Breaky Heart singer, who was unhappy she held 18th birthday at a bar.
I should have said, Enough is enough its getting dangerous and somebodys going to get hurt . . . Honestly, I didnt know the ball was out of bounds until it was way up in the stands somewhere.
Check out this new image of Gaga used to promote Born This Way. The photo is being as part of an international campaign to promote the new album, and was recently spotted all over California and New York.
O.J. Simpson was attacked by a white supremacist in a prison yard, claims the National Enquirer; however, the story is NOT true.
The Enquirer reports that the former football great was brutally beaten by a skinhead at Lovelock Correctional Center, where he is currently serving a sentence for armed robbery.
Inmates cheered as a muscular young skinhead knocked him to the ground, punching and kicking him to a bloody pulp and inflicting injuries so severe he secretly spent nearly three weeks in the infirmary before he recovered, writes the tab.
The alleged incident grew out of the former Heisman trophy winner reportedly bragging about his sexual conquests of beautiful white women.
A spokesman for the Nevada Department of Corrections, however, tells Gossip Cop theres no truth to the Enquirer report, adding that there was no incident at all and O.J.s fine and healthy.

Hayden Panettiere Talks About Controversial Amanda Knox Movie
Actress Hayden Panettiere stars in The Amanda Knox Story, a Lifetime movie about American exchange student Amanda Knox, who was convicted of mudering Meredith Kercher by an Italian court. The family of the murder viction is opposed to the film. Lawyers for Amanda Knox are also very unhappy about the film being made.
Hayden says the film is "done in a really classy way." She also says it is very interesting to see both sides of the story. She also says what they did to Amanda Knox was "horrific." She says she feels very sympathetic to what Amanda Knox had to go through. Take a look:
On her home life: "Our house is a really happy house. There are kids running around and laughing and joking. I smile so much more than people would think."
On being comfortable in her own skin: "For the first time, I feel like what you see is what you get. This is me: the more natural hair, the slightly more relaxed way of dressing. I feel really content personally and professionally. I'm not freaked out about getting older. I'm growing older with the most amazing man I've ever met with my soul mate. Life's great."
On her diet and exercise: "I'm not one of those people who can't eat carbs. I eat a lot. I do. I run four miles a day on the treadmill. I know that works for me, so I've kind of trained myself. I do lift weights. I'm not very good at soccer."
RT @xShelbiLouise: Miley Cyrus is 18 and she acts like a normal 18 year old. God forbid she live her life for her and not to please everyone else. Miley Cyrus fans tweet (soo sweet!)
Its been a good weekend for those involved in musical contributions for The Twilight Saga, and now we have even more great news: Alexandre Desplat, the composer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon has won the Anthony Asquith Award for Film Music award for his work on the recent film The Kings Speech! Congrats Alexandre!
If you missed it, check out our weekend coverage of The Grammys HERE in which three of our Twilight Saga soundtrack contributors took home awards.
Have any of you seen The Kings Speech? If so, do you think Alexandres composition deserves the award he took home?
The occasionally bleeped telecast averaged awhopping 26.6 million viewers, up a tick from last year, and, per CBS, the biggest Grammy audience in 10 yearsor, the last time Eminem was majorly upset in the Album of the Year category.
The show did best among the Mick Jagger- and Barbra Streisand-aged crowd; it was weakest among teen boys, who clearly didn't know their hated Bieber was going to go down to defeat.
As for the reviews, they weren't all bad.
The New Yorker, for one, decided the show washigh-praise alert!"not bad." And Vanity Fair thought the Oscars could even learn some lessons from the telecast.
Oh, we surely hope James Franco is planning to get his Gaga on.
Ever wonder where some of Lady Gaga's more wild ideas come from? (*cough cough* arriving at the Grammys in an egg)? She's no doubt naturally creative, but she gets a little help from the outside, too.
Sitting down with Anderson Cooper for a "60 Minutes" interview, Gaga admitted to a certain frequent indiscretion.
"I still smoke a lot of pot when I write music," she said. "So I'm not gonna, like, sugar coat it for '60 Minutes' that I'm some, like, sober human being, 'cause I'm not."
It's an honest admission from the artist, who so often bears her soul for the world to see. During her Grammy acceptance speech, her voice wavered as she thanked her family and friends for all the help.
Gaga opened up much more in the interview, talking about her family, career -- and what men call her in bed. And, to boot, she got her interviewer drunk.
It was quite the spectacle when Snooki and Sway took over MTV News' red-carpet coverage at last night's Grammy Awardsbut nothing was more spectacular than the moment when Snooki and Miley Cyrus became instant besties, right on camera. The "Jersey Shore" star and pop-country princess ran into each other before the show began, and what ensued was no less than a total love-fest.
Spotting Snooki during her interview with Sway, Miley broke off mid-thought to shriek, "OH MY GOD IT'S SNOOKI! You're my favorite person ever!"
Fortunately, Sway was savvy enough to step aside and make way for some epic girl-crush gushing:
Snooki: You look amazing! Miley: I love your sparkles, you're feeling the sparkles! I was talking to Pauly about how much I love you, and how my makeup artist and I are obsessed with you. Snooki: Your makeup is freaking amazing! Miley: She wants to do your makeup so bad! Snooki: What are you doing after this? Miley: We need to hang!
And there you have it: Miley Cyrus and Snooki are totally BFFs. But after another round of complimentary one-upping ("I love your dress!" "I love YOU!" "I LOVE YOU TOO!"), things get just a little awkward when Snooki asks if Miley is still planning on dressing like her for Halloween...and Miley hesitates a moment before confessing that actually, she's going to go as Fran Fine from "The Nanny" this year.
Awww. And things were going so well.
Got any predictions on the longevity of the Snooki-Miley lovefest?
