| Welkom op de Blog van en voor de deelnemers aan de maandelijkse sessies Genealogie in het Lokaal Dienstencentrum Speltincx te Gentbrugge onder de leiding van de werkgroep met als coördinator Jo Goddemaer. De sessies gaan door op de 1ste en de 3de donderdag van de maand.

Voor stamboomonderzoek vormen deze rekeningen een dankbare bron die een aanvulling biedt op een graatgenealogie met enkel namen en data. Veel bewoners passeren vroeg of laat de revue met de namen van hun partner en/of vader, de beroepsactiviteiten (ambtenaren, werklieden, handelaars,..), woonplaats, transacties, grondbezittingen, belastingen, eventuele veroordelingen enzovoort.
