Hallo,
Ik wil niet in herhaling vallen en ook niet te hoog van de toren blazen maar met gisteren nog vers in het geheugen is het mij gegund een blij man te zijn. De veteranen tekenden present en M. TSjoen +Alain Van Cauwenberghe bleken duidelijk geïnteresseerd. Bovendien was Laurette Mesure, een nieuw gezicht met positieve intenties. Er was sfeer en animo waarvan ik bijna ten volle kon meegenieten dank zij het apparaat mij ter hand gesteld door Sabrine Mortier, onze nieuwe Centrumleider. Het voorstel van Veerle is m.i. waardevol en zeer geschikt om gestructureerd behandeld te worden. Mijn voorstel : starten op 7 November met N° 1; Ik denk dat Veerle over genoeg stof zal beschikken om ons een half uurtje zoet te houden.
De eerste dia, een Plan van Gent (Paris George Louis le Rouge (1707-1790)) met vermelding van de parochies 1745. Kan soms nodig zijn in geval van twijfel bij het zoeken. Dia 2 (FS) ivm met Schotse emigratie : er is niets nieuws onder de zon en is actueler dan ooit.
Zoeken in Duitsland: onderwerp kwam gewoon tot stand omwille van het feit dat Erwin en ikzelf toevallig moesten zoeken in hetzelfde land. Automatisch kon ik bijgevolg de raad van Veerle volgen ivm het onderwerp Stamboomfora. De oplossing van mijn probleem ontving ik via Stamboomforum en zo kwam ik terecht bij Ancestry waar ik sinds lang geregistreerd ben als niet-betalend(en dus ontoereikend om bij de bronnen te geraken) en Euro 1.99 betaald heb voor 1 maand abonnement. Stel je mijn verbazing voor toen ik bemerkte dat de bronnen bij Ancestry afkomstig waren van Family Search. Niet grondig genoeg gezocht, daarom toch tevreden ! Archion (betalend) Matricula, Ongen,Genealogy,net en Family Search : de URLs kan je altijd noteren in hulpmiddelen bij het zoeken. Vroeg of laat zal blijken dat je de functies van het verzameld materiaal zult nodig hebben. Ook nog vermelden de positieve medewerking van de predikant van de Evangelische Kerk Brabantdam
Het fonds Arthur Merghelynck : kijk er niet over ! Elke rechtgeaarde amateur-stamboeker is pro. We kunnen ons niet veroorloven enkel de rechte lijn te volgen. Van tijd tot tijd moeten we ook oog hebben voor de zijpaadjes. Er schuilt een schat aan informatie in deze verzameling . Elke onderzoeker doet er goed aan bepaalde paginas te bekijken en desnoods te noteren. Aansluitend onderwerp West-Vlaamse Staten van Goed had ik samen met Arthur voorbereid voor Luc Depreeuw, nog steeds op zoek naar De Pre, De Prez, De Pree, etc
Les Archives de Paris : enigszins een herhaling , vooral een voorbeeld hoe het kan : zoeken zonder al te veel moeite en oplossingen vinden. Vergeet vooral niet nog eens naar de ultieme data te kijken ivm geboorte, huwelijk en overlijden. Ook de URLs voor hulp zijn het noteren waard.
Privacy een onuitputtelijk onderwerp om te debatteren Wim Deckers en Han Kortekaas resp. Geneanet en Stamboomforum bewezen het. De oplossing, om bij een upload van Aldfaer, My Heritage te vermijden, kwam toch uit de bus en kunt u terugvinden op Dia22
Ellen, palmen en duimen : kende ik absoluut niet . Richtlijnen voor de beginnende bezoeker van Johan Roelstraete : deze pagina is een absolute aanrader voor elke starter (+ het ganse boek)
Omdat het de eerste maal is dat ik de DNA vermelding op Geneanet vond, kon ik het niet laten voorbijgaan en zo kwamen we in Antwerpen via het Sint-Felixpakhuis. Dit onderwerp heb ik tamelijk uitvoerig behandeld voor de mensen die in die provincie moeten zoeken. De laatste Dias heb ik niet meer kunnen behandelen. Bekijk aub eens de toegevoegde items ivm Mechelen, de betrokken personen mogen inderdaad fier zijn op hun werk !
