Move Over, Willow Smith! Another Celeb Kid Is Getting His Music On!

Just when you thought Willow Smith was the youngest celebrity kid singing her way onto the music charts, there's now an even younger star-in-training who's already showing he's got the chops (and the genes!) to make it in the business.
Sure, he may not have enough hair to actually be whipping it around, but...
Taye Diggs tells me that his and Tony Award-winning wife Idina Menzel's son, Walker, is already taking music classes. And I say already because the little guy is only 17 months old!
"He's dancing and playing instruments and banging around," Diggs says. "You can do a lot at 17 months old!"

But despite Walker's obvious star quality, Diggs is hoping "he'll be well rounded."
"I'm shoving a basketball in his hand, as well," he laughed.
And here's a bummer: Diggs will not be jumping from Private Practice over to Grey's Anatomy for its musical episode (for those who may not know it, Diggs was a huge Broadway star in Rent before his Hollywood career took off). "It would have been fun," he said. "Maybe Private Practice will do it one day You know, Shonda Rimes is a genius, so I trust her."
Hey, if Kate Walshcan do it, Mr. Diggs certainly can, too!

Sienna Miller: Fan Friendly at 'Flare Path' Opening Night
Sienna Miller: Fan Friendly at 'Flare Path' Opening Night
A fresh-faced Sienna Miller leaves opening night of her play Flare Path on Friday (March 4) in London, England.
The 29-year-old British actress greeted fans outside the theater and took time to sign autographs.
Earlier this week, Sienna was spotted leaving rehearsals for Terence Rattigans play, in which she plays a married actress involved in a love triangle.
Sienna can also next be seen as a housewife turned belly dance teacher in the upcoming film Just Like a Woman!
"I do have some exciting news about the new single. I've been so excited about [the fans'] reaction and seeing the fans be so excited during the show every time we play 'Born This Way,' it's been really amazing," she told King. "I've made two music videos for the song."
Gaga then went on to confirm that portions of the proceeds from the sale of the "stripped-down" version of the song, which will get its own video (further details about that clip were not known at press time), will go to charity. "So there's one that's coming out on Monday," she explained. "But then I'm actually putting together another video, which is a more stripped-down version of the song that will be released on iTunes and also released as an audio file. A portion of the money raised selling the song is actually going to go towards an anti-bully charity."
Mum has been the word on what the videos will actually be like. Though Gaga, in a recent radio interview, noted that the visual is about "the birth of a new race within the race of humanity. The birth of a new race that doesn't bear any prejudices. I think the most important thing is that I continue to grow, and I knew when I put [out] 'BTW' it would be a transitional moment, because it doesn't sound like [my previous singles]."

Nowadays Steve Nickerson, Summit Entertainments president of home entertainment, isnt surprised by how well anything Twilight does at retail.
So when the Recording Industry Association of America, or RIAA, announced this month that the combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases of Music Videos and Performances from The Twilight Saga Soundtracks Vol. 1 had reached RIAA-certified gold status Nickerson was more pleased than surprised.
Its a little bit of a unique project we developed with Atlantic [Records], and were happy with the consumer reaction to it, he said. Each of the three individual soundtracks did more than well, and while any of the videos may be available through the individual artists, to put them all together in a product was a unique opportunity,

"Unknown" Tops "I Am Number Four" at the Box Office
"Unknown" Tops "I Am Number Four" at the Box Office
Liam Neeson Winning what was quite the slow past few days at the box office, "Unknown" edged out "I Am Number Four" for the top spot over the President's Day weekend.
The Liam Neeson/Olivia Wilde thriller garnered the pole position with an estimated $21.7 million in earnings.
Having grabbed up the most money on Friday (February 18), Dianna Agron and Alex Pettyfer's "I Am Number Four" slipped a bit while ending up in second with an approximate three-day total on $19.5 million.
Rounding out the top five at the box office were "Gnomeo & Juliet 3D" ($19.4 million), "Just Go With It" ($18.2 million) and "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son" ($17 million).
Looks like JWoww's naked body is once again a subject of potential legal dramz.
The JerseyShore star breathed a huge sigh of relief when a judge ruled that her ex-boyfriend Thomas Lippolis had no legal right to distribute nude pictures of her because he took them without her permission "while she was under the effects of pre-surgical and post-surgical anesthesia" last February.
Now, JWoww has admitted that her ex-bf has a nude video of her, which he was allegedly shopping around.
Here's what she had to say about it:
Its not like me posing or how girls send pictures .texting. These are sleeping or things like that.
This was only 6 months into our relationship before we even broke up. It makes me think, did he have it kind of, like, planned?
Given the fact that JWoww's ex has no legal right to release the photos, we're thinking this video is unlikely to see the light of day either.
Do U think JWoww is safe? Or do U think her video will inevitably get leaked?
David Archuleta reportedly has been dropped from his record label, JiveRecords. A rep for the label told sources Archie has been "released from our roster," but offered no reason why.
We can guess why, considering his album sales forTheOtherSide of Down, but it still sucks. He's got a lot of potential and maybe if they gave him enough attention, he'd find his way back on top.
Well, in the end he shouldn't be someplace he's not wanted anyway. Time to start anew, BB! The best revenge is living well, so buck up, write some killer stuff and come back even stronger than before.
Or maybe you could go to school? That could be worth giving a try too!
Before Twilight, I did any movie that I got and tried to make the best of it afterwards. Now, youre expected to come into the movie and provide not only economic viability, but a performance as well. People are like, You cant just mess around. Were employing you to be a star and an actor. Its difficult and its scary.
Robert Pattinson is about to enter a new kind of Twilight Zone, courtesy of David Cronenberg. It was announced today that the Canadian filmmaker has cast the vampire heartthrob as a bloodsucker of a different coloura multi-billionaire hedge fund manager in Manhattan who squanders his fortune betting against the survival of the world economy. The movie is Cosmopolis, a Canada-France coproduction based on the 2003 nouvella of the same name by award-winning American writer Don Delillo. Pattinson is set to co-star with Paul Giamatti (Barneys Version), Juliette Binoche (The English Patient), and Matheu Amalric (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly).
Cronenberg appears to be on a roll. After the success of The History of Violence (2005) and Eastern Promises (2007), two Oscar-nominated hits, he has been creeping ever closer to mainstream acceptance, without compromising his singular vision. He recently completed A Dangerous Method, a German co-production about Freud and Jung, starring (in his third role with director) Viggo Mortensenit will likely open next fall after a festival premiere in Cannes, Venice or TIFF. Its always a good sign when a filmmaker has another movie on the go before his last one has hit the screen.
Landing a Cronenberg role is a savvy move for Pattinson, who needs to make the leap from the matinee idol ghetto of Twilight to more mature roles. His is not unlike the dilemma faced by an aging child star. In his previous non-vampire outing, the romance Remember Me, Pattinson showed the promise of a serious actor, but the film was a dud. Cronenberg is always a class act, and (despite his image as a horrormeister) hes very much an actors director. Colin Farrell had originally been tapped for the Pattinson role, until he opted to star in a remake of Total Recall. And earlier candidates attached to the role of the female lead included Marion Cotillard and Keira Knightley, who stars in A Dangerous Method.
Cronenberg wrote the script for Cosmopolis, which is described as a thriller. In the directors previous adaptations of fictionnotably Naked Lunch, Dead Ringers and Crashhe has played fast and loose with the source material, bending it to his own vision, so dont expect Delillos work to be transposed too literally. I havent read the book. But it appears to have some classic Cronenberg elements, including some glimmers of Crash. Heres how Wikipedia summarizes the plot:
Cosmopolis is the story of Eric Packer, a 28 year old multi-billionaire asset manager who makes anodyssey across midtown Manhattan in order to get a haircut. The stretch limo which adorns the cover of the book is richly described as highly technical and very luxurious, filled with television screens and computer monitors, bulletproofed and floored with Carrara marble. It is also cork lined to eliminate (though unsuccessfully, as Packer notes) the intrusion of street noise.
Like James Joyces Ulysses, Cosmopolis covers roughly one day of time and includes highly sexed women and the theme of father-son separation. Packers voyage is obstructed by various traffic jams caused by a presidential visit to the city, a funeral procession for a Sufi rap star and a full-fledged riot. Along the way, the hero has several chance meetings with his wife, seeing her in a taxi, a bookstore, and lying naked in the street, taking part in a movie as an extra. Meanwhile, Packer is stalked by two men, a comical pastry assassin and an unstable credible threat. Through the course of the day, the protagonist loses incredible amounts of money for his clients by betting against the rise of the yen, a loss that parallels his own fall. Packer seems to relish being unburdened by the loss of so much money, even stopping to make sure he loses his wifes fortune as well, to ensure his ruin is inevitable.
