Dear Transkribus community,
We're excited to share the latest advances and pivotal changes coming to the Transkribus platform, aimed to enhance your experience and aid in revealing historical data.
Get a Sneak Peek of Transkribus Next Gen
Our expanding user base and growing demand for a web application have spurred us to transition Transkribus to the web, leading to the upcoming launch of Transkribus Next Gen on the 30th of August. Combining the advanced features of our Desktop Client with our web platform's user-friendly interface, it offers a streamlined user experience, simplifying navigation through projects and tasks.
New: Get Early Access to Our First Super Model
We're proud to announce the upcoming release of the Transkribus Super Models, capable of recognizing multiple languages as well as handwritten and printed text simultaneously with exceptional accuracy. Text Titan I, our latest Transformer Model, is now available for early access. You can request early access here.
Upcoming: New Subscription Plans
Adapting to our users' evolving needs, we're introducing a flexible pricing system offering tailored solutions for diverse users. Our three subscription plans - 'Individual', 'Scholar', and 'Organisation' - cater to a spectrum of users, providing core features for free and offering on-demand credit packages. In addition, we'll be transitioning all existing free plan users to a complimentary Individual plan, which comes with an allotment of 100 free credits each month. This new subscription model will be rolled out progressively in the months ahead.
Upcoming: Transkribus Field & Table Models
Exciting advancements are on the horizon as we prepare to introduce Field & Table models in Transkribus. These new models, set to be tested in beta soon, have been specifically designed to tackle complex layouts often found in historical documents. Field models will let you build your own unique models to label or extract things like headings, paragraphs, marginalia, initials, name and date fields on index cards and many more. With Table models, you can train AI to recognize and replicate the row and column structure of your documents, making it easy to turn them into spreadsheets.
Stay tuned for more updates on our website and social media channels as we continue unlocking the past.
