The Million Moustache March, led by the
American Moustache Institute (a chapter of Beard Team USA), took place in
Washington, D.C., on April 1, 2012, in support of the Stache Act, which would
give special tax relief to moustached
Americans.
The march proceeded from the US Capitol to
the White House, where President Obama is rumored to be growing a moustache just
in case the Act passes Congress. All told, there were easily a
million moustaches in the Nation's Capital for the event, at least if you count
Virginia and Maryland as well.
