    Zoeken in blog

    very original title, I know.

So what has happened in the past year? That's hard to say ..

One thing I know is that I became an AFS volunteer, which means I help AFS with students from abroad who come to Belgium for a year, and also with Belgian students who want to go abroad themselves for some time. This schoolyear I am a counselor for a girl from Thailand who is staying here this year, and she is really nice. I try to especially help with the foreign students.

Also my sister (Birgit) left in August to spend a year in Paraguay (this is her blog http://www.birgit-paraguay.blogspot.com/ but she doesn't write often). I think and hope she is having fun there! But I will be happy when she comes back too, I kind of miss her sometimes.
But it doesn't stop there: my boyfriend Pepijn is also studying abroad for one year, he is doing his last year of university in France (Toulouse). Luckily that isn't as far as Paraguay, and so I get to see him every few weeks.

As for myself, I am now in the second year of university (handelsingenieur in de beleidsinformatica... hm how to translate this? business engineer in business information systems or something like that). At the end of last year (June) I didn't pass for 3 courses, so I had to do 3 exams again in August. Luckily I passed the second time Very Happy. I am still dancing and training for circus (tissu) and this year there is a big performance, in which I will dance a bit. We started training last week.

And last but not least: I went on a very nice holiday to Portugal with Pepijn, and we were even able to try a little surfing there! It was so cool to surf again, and also to show my boyfriend what surfing is like. We went to Porto, Peso da Regua, Braga, and so on, and of course seeing Portugal was also amazing.

Now why do I write in English all of a sudden? Well basically so more people can understand it (like my friends and family in Australia), and I think my friends and family here know enough Enlish to understand it to. (I hope I'm right)

hope you liked reading this update!
    Bye!
