Last friday, 18th of May, we gave another roof terrace party. This time a Goodbye annex Birthdayparty. Marco, our Roman compañero, only had a half semester Erasmus and had to leave the day after. Mi birthday was coming up so I joined him of course. We started a barbacoa and after a while we were having a nice bunch of people on our terrace. Like usual, we got some problems with our neighbours and left to the centre to finish the evening.
Marco also said too much goodbye to the well famous copas overhere. He had his flight at 10 on Saturday and at almost 9 he stood besides mi bed with a Tokio head. He would miss his flight of course. Thanks to Jonny and his tremendous racing skills Marco could check in as ultimate passenger. Typical Erasmus story, isn't it?
Now we're having a new compañero in his room: Yannis aka Juan aka El Griego, a Greek from Thessaloniki. Until now, it isn't very clear what he is doing here in Sevilla. He is leading like a pelgrim life. But he is friendly and always up for a coffee. And we can get cheap pizzas from his interim job.
3th of May: Semifinal Sevilla-Osasuna in the Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium. Two days before I biked in a semi storm to the stadium for some tickets, but is was worth it. After the 1-0 of the first match, Sevilla Fútbol Club had to attack to go to the final. Tom and I sat behind the South Goal the free sharp around our neck, trying to sing along with our compagnons. In the beginning the Osasuna-fans were leading the choirs. But once the stadium filled, the Sevillanos started singing: Todas a una, Puta Osasuna, and we didn't hear them anymore. At the end Sevilla FC won 2-0 and the stadium was getting mad. Some fans started running on the field and in a few seconds is was so crowded of people that the security couldn't do anything. Tom convinced me to join him and there we were. We lost each other in the crazy fool and had a tremendous evening!
Two weeks after that match, Sevilla FC met Espanyol in the UEFA final in Glasgow. We followed the match in a fanatic bar next to the Giralda. The atmosphere was amazing! You should see some movies to get it. I don't know if you know the story of the match, but I can tell you there was suspense until the bitter end. After the penalties, we won, a never seen party started in the city centre. Singing, dancing, drinking: all together for Sevilla Fútbol Club! Fantastic!

A few weeks ago we took a bus to Madrid and his first inhabitant Hañs, our last Erasmus compagnon who we hadn't visited until then. He lives near to the centre, next to Plaza España. Tom still had a telephone number of a Madrilean girl we met at the Smoking Party in the beginning, remember. He phoned her of course and we dated her and her friends in a bar called Cats. Unfortunately, there was a "wanna be Sum 41" Spanish equivalent playing. But after a while a really good saxofonist took it over. It was nice to start our weekend trip over there.
Saturday Hañs guided us througt the most important attractions of Madrid. In the afternoon we tripped to Toledo, a little town on a hill in the South of Madrid. Although it is very touristic, we tried to visit it our own way and discover it differently from the mass-bustourists. Back in Madrid, we had a Madrid Tapa Dinner in a typical bar en watched "L'auberge espagnol" together. Some parts of the film match with our adventures over here.
Before regressing to where we belong, we made a final walk around Madrid and stopped for a while in the Reina Sofia Modern Art Museum. Besides The Guernica of Picasso you can visit there loads of other famous paintings. Venga, hasta lueego!
