een turbulente dag
Reeds enkele dagen is het ademen bij Nicole moeilijk geworden. Ze heeft precies het gevoel dat ze in ademnood geraakt. Ook doet het inademen pijn. Deze nacht was de pijn zeer hevig.
Deze morgen heeft Lobke de dokter opgebeld.
Hij vreesde voor een longonsteking en wilde dat we liever naar spoed gingen in het AZ te brugge.
Halsoverkop zijn we naar de spoedafdeling in Brugge gereden.
Lobke kon hen duidelijk inlichten over alle zaken die ze momenteel inneemt qua medicatie.
Het werd een lange namiddag.
wachten, wachten en wachten. Zo gaat dit tegenwoordig in het ziekenhuis.
Doch de verpleging was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

De doktersassistent kwam ons verlossen met het nieuws dat alle resultaten bevredigend waren, geen longontsteking.
Er zou een mogelijk ontsteking vormen op de bovenste luchtwegen, dit kan verholpen worden door het innemen van antibiotica.
Maar gezien Nicole geen pilletjes kan slikken blijft ze in de kliniek, alwaar men de medicatie via baxter zal toedienen.
Tevens kan men haar goed opvolgen omdat we allemaal bang zijn van haar manier van ademen.
Nu dit was deels geruststellend nieuws want we vreesden voor erger.
Eenmaal in de kamer werden we opgetogen, waarschijnlijk één van de mooiste kamers in het ziekenhuis, helemaal vernieuwd. Nicole kon dit wel apprecieren, de suite van de Hilton...
We hopen dat de pijn op de luchtwegen zeer snel verdwijnt en dat we niet lang moeten w a c h t e n voor ze terug is.

lieve familie en vrienden,
ik was voor eerst vandaag in de lange ziekte van mama enorm bang, eveneens voor Lobke. Normaal was het feest gepland voor hun 60ste verjaardag van mama en papa vandaag....
Toen Lobke mij deze middag opbelde om te zeggen zus we moeten naar spoed, sloeg de schrik om mijn hart, geweend en geweend, hier ben ik niet klaar voor dacht, wanneer wel, nooit....
Was het dan om paniek te slaan vragen jullie zich af?? toen Lobke mij belde kon ik mama horen vechten om adem te pakken door de telefoon, wat denkt een mens dan.....
zelf was ik ziek (migraine) vandaag en is lobke samen met jurgen gegaan, wel zalig dat we in zulke momenten zoveel steun aan elkaar hebben.
Deze avond gebeld met mama om 19u, je hoorde nog die rare adem maar niet meer zo erg. Morgenvroeg ga ik naar mama, en papa lost mij af in de namiddag en brengt dan de voeding mee naar kliniek, omdat we dat daar ook kunnen laten doorlopen, want dat heeft ze wel echt nodig.
laat ons allemaal het beste hopen, ik hoop uit de grond van mijn hart dat de scan van nu dinsdag iets (al is het maar klein) positief met zich meebrengt dat het mama kracht geeft om nog eventjes verder te vechten, indien we daar niets positiefs kunnen uithalen uit die scan sluit ik me, weliswaar met veel pijn, aan bij de beslissing om te stoppen met die studie in Gent...........
