Dit weekend is het zover dat de NPO alweer voor de 32e keer een Nationale Manifestatie organiseert. De landelijke media heeft het Nationale duivensportevenement ook gevonden, want de tv zenders VPRO en BNN komen naar alle waarschijnlijkheid opnamen maken met een tv ploeg. Hiermee is media aandacht gegarandeerd. Het is wel verdiend, want vele duizenden postduivencoaches beleven aan de omgang met hun vogels en deelname aan de wedvluchten een prachtige sport. Een evenement waar alles te zien en te beleven valt is natuurlijk de NPO Nationale Manifestatie.
Ooit is de NPO Nationale Manifestatie bedoeld om de nationale kampioenen te huldigen en de vluchtoverwinnaars van de nationale concoursen van het voorbije seizoen in de spotlights te zetten, later is er een beursgedeelte en een zinderende jeugddag bijgekomen. Inmiddels zijn er al meer dan 220 jeugdliefhebbers die zich hebben aangemeld voor deze dag. Een absoluut record! De Nationale Kampioenen worden de laatste jaren op een groot podium tussen de exposanten gehuldigd, iets wat de sfeer absoluut ten goede is gekomen. Het evenement leeft!!!
De meeste bezoekers gaan overigens naar de NPO Nationale Manifestatie om eens bij te praten met bekenden of gewoon voor de gezelligheid en een rondje langs de standen van het bedrijfsleven te maken. Vooral op het gebied van hokkenbouw en hokinterieur is er veel te zien dit jaar. Enkele nieuwe exposanten hebben zich aangemeld, maar ook bij de bekendere ondernemingen zijn tal van noviteiten te bewonderen.
Ook enkele actief spelende liefhebbers en kweekcentra hebben een stand gehuurd waar u duiven kunt
kopen. Van Vitesse tot duiven voor de zware fond. De klapper van dit jaar waar u beslist een kijkje moet nemen is de stand van First Prize Pigeons. Zij stellen in ieder geval 3 nationale 1e prijs winnaars uit hun kweekcentrum tentoon! Sowieso de Raket, de Brive en de Jander worden tentoongesteld. Een eenmalige kans om deze nationale winnaars te bewonderen!!!

Tuesday, coffee with fanciers and two major shipments to care of... A busy day today, first we have to gather the birds which are here for Spain, they will leave today by truck with arrival at Thursday close to Barcelona. Since a week or so we have a secure, fast and high service route to all major city's in Spain. So from today we will have regular shipments. The same for Portugal, the price for shipping birds to this country's is only 40,- each. (discounts apply from 4 birds and more!). A great opening for us to this 2 major country's....
Then a few local guys come for coffee like every week on Tuesday, just a chat about what is going on in our sport.... Nice.... After that, we will gather the birds for Malta, they will leave tomorrow. The fog is almost gone in Holland and most of the airports are opening again. So after our worries yesterday it seems that also the birds for Malta can go tomorrow. A great thing as this is the biggest shipment to Malta ever....

Monday, back in the office.... A very small world, Holland is covered in fog for 2 days now. There are places where you cannot see more than 50 meters. Hugh traffic jams, delayed and cancelled flight at the airports and people stay in. The good news is that never before we had so many visitor at our website as the last few days!!! We are unable to let the pigeons out for their daily flight around the lofts, lets hope it clears fast.... The weather report say that they have good hope that tomorrow it will get better.....

Behoudens reclames heeft Mevr. Tiny van Panhuis - Hornstra uit Meppel bij de nationale kampioenschappen de beste jonge duif van 2011.
Deze duivin genaamd "Tiny" werd gekweekt uit twee rechtstreekse Eijerkamp duiven.
De ouders van "Tiny" werden twee jaar geleden aangeschaft bij Hans en Evert-Jan Eijerkamp.
"Tiny" heeft als vader "Ché Junior" uit "Ché" (soort van Loon) x moeder "Shilpa" (soort Eijerkamp - Janssen) en haar moeder is "Mysterious Euro" uit "Euro" (soort Heremans - Ceusters) x "Mysterious" (soort Heremans - Ceusters).

Miss Tiny Panhuis - Hornstra from Meppel (NL) has the best youngster in 2011 in the national championships in The Netherlands.
This hen called "Tiny" was bred from two straight Eijerkamp pigeons.
Two years ago her parents were acquired from Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp. The father of the winner "Tiny" is "Ché Junior" who comes out of "Ché"(van Loon) and the mother of "Shilpa" (Eijerkamp-Janssen) and her mother is "Mysterious Euro" out of "Euro" (Heremans-Ceusters) x "Mysterious" (Heremans-Ceusters).
We congratulate the family Panhuis with this fantastic achievement.

Afgelopen zaterdag was het zover en werden na een lekker maaltijd in Cafe de Goede verwachting te Lewedorp de 3 winnaars van de competitie "de beste uitslag van het jaar" gehuldigd. Tijdens de smakkelijke maaltijd ontvingen de winnaars allen een duivenbon voor 2 jongen 2012 uit het exlusieve kweekhok van teletextpigeons breedingloft. Ook hadden de winnaars op het verzoek van Teletextpigeons.com hun beste duif meegenomen om deze op kosten van Teletextpigeons door Falco Ebben te vereeuwigen op de gevoelige plaat. Met een dankwoord en een bos bloemen voor het thuisfront werden de winnaars extra in het zonnetje gezet met hun fantastische prestatie. Er werd tijdens maar ook zeker na de maalltijd nog ouderwets gemolken.

Friday again, the end of a busy week.... When I write this it's just before nine, the birds are taken care of and I am enjoying my second cup of coffee this morning. Cold in Holland, misty and not really weather to go out. Even the pigeons seems to be a little down, with the cold and foggy weather, their last flights out because moulting you can see that they are not feeling great. Not much more we can do for them as some extra feed. I also did turn the ground heating on the loft, not that it will chance the temperature a lot but the humidity well better for them soon... Back to business.... We will have a shipment to Malta this Wednesday (November 23). We have room for a few more birds in this biggest shipment to Malta for us ever!!! So if you are looking for some birds and you are from Malta this is the time to contact us.... All buyers please make sure you make proper arrangements with Joseph. The birds will arrive 23:00 so it would be great if all goes smoothly....
