Gezien het feit dat ons forum in de maanden december en januari volop in bedrijf is, sturen wij u in de komende tijd tweewekelijks een nieuwsbrief. In deze nieuwsbrief komt de jaarlijkse forumdag langs en bijvoorbeeld de mogelijkheid om duivenactiviteiten onder de aandacht te brengen. Daarnaast willen wij u informatie geven over de verschillende bonnenverkopen die er op of via ons forum plaatsvinden en u natuurlijk aansporen om een kijkje te nemen op het grootste duiven-forum van Nederland. Tenslotte krijgt u van ons ook de definitieve eindstanden van de vliegcompetitie.
Forumdag. Op zaterdag 8 januari 2011 is het eindelijk zover: onze jaarlijkse forumdag. Deze dag begint om 14.00 en vindt plaats in Doorn (Clubhuis Doorn, sportpark Tuilland, Buurtweg 3/het duivenlokaal is groen met gele deuren en er staat PV Luchtbode op de voorgevel).
Wat kunt u verwachten? Uiteraard ontvangen wij u eerst met een lekker bakje thee/koffie of wat fris. De voorzitter van deze dag Willem van Breene zal de dag met ons openen. Vervolgens zullen er verschillende dingen op het programma staan: Prijsuitreiking vliegcompetie, gezellig duivenmelken, een powerpointpresentatie met uitleg van onze weerman Zimoa over wat goed en slecht duivenweer is (onder voorbehoud). Tenslotte overhandigen wij 10% van de opbrengst van de bonnenverkoop aan PPN. Uiteraard zal er tussendoor voldoende gelegenheid zijn om elkaar te ontmoeten.
De deuren gaan open om 13.30 en we nodigen iedereen graag uit op deze duivenmiddag! Om enigszins een indruk te krijgen hoeveel mensen we kunnen verwachten, kunt u op het forum aangeven met hoeveel personen u mogelijk denkt aanwezig te zijn.
Bonnenverkoop. Zoals u wellicht weet heeft het duiven-forum van Nederland een jaarlijkse bonnenverkoop. Ook dit jaar hebben wij verschillende topbonnen in de aanbieding. Wat dacht u van: Marcel Aelbrecht uit Lebbeke, Jelle Jellema uit Nijverdal, Harm Vredeveld uit Coevorden, Hugo Batenburg uit Klaaswaal, Ton Bosua uit Dordrecht en nog veel meer. De bonnenverkoop is in drieën verdeeld. Een aantal bonnen zullen via onze eigen site verkocht worden, maar het grootste gedeelte via http://www.toppigeons.nl (Deze verkoop loopt van 15 december 2010 tot en met 29 december 2010) en http://www.duiven.net (Deze verkoop loopt van 14 december 2010 tot en met 28 december 2010). De voorbiedingen die op het duivenforum zijn gedaan, is het startbedrag op bovenstaande sites. U kunt dus nu al bieden op deze bonnen.
Activiteitenkalender. De winter is volop aanwezig en dat betekent dat er weer verschillende gezellige en nuttige duivenactiviteiten op het programma staan. Wat dacht u bijvoorbeeld van al die plaatselijke duivententoonstellingen?! Onze agenda biedt een mooi overzicht van allerlei activiteiten op duivengebied, maar ook de mogelijkheid om daar zelf als duivenmelker, kring of afdeling of als vereniging een activiteit te melden. Zodat ook in de wintermaanden de duivensport levendig blijft!

Bij malversatie, het al of niet bewust verkeerde prijzen opgeven e.d., behouden wij ons het recht de betreffende deelnemer uit alle klassen waar hij aan mee doet te schrappen. De prijzen moeten persoonlijk worden afgehaald en zijn niet overdraagbaar. Winnaars zijn gehouden beperkt medewerking te verlenen aan publiciteit. GROWING up on a south coast dairy property, retired Wagga farmer Paul Ryan dabbled in keeping pigeons.
Decades later Ryan has turned his childhood hobby into a consuming sporting passion.
From a humble start, Ryan has become one of the Riverina's foremost pigeon racers.
Nowadays, Ryan has a team of 150 racing birds and is poised to make a spectacular bid to win a treble of important events at the weekend.
Ryan, who sold his Wagga dairy in 1994 to settle on 100 acres on the outskirts of the city, yesterday revealed he would have birds flying in prized races in Canberra and Temora.
"It's a big weekend," Ryan said yesterday. "These are some of our biggest races.
"We've got the Canberra nationals and the Country Cup and Combined Breeder's Plate at Temora.
"I'll have two birds in Canberra and three in each of the Temora races."
Despite the sport generating prizemoney purses of thousands of dollars, Ryan is quick to shrug off the financial aspect of racing pigeons.
"I just think it's a pretty good pastime - keeps you busy," Ryan said yesterday.
"I had pigeons when I was a kid, but I only got back into them when I retired from farming.
"I've been slowly setting up for a couple of years now and this is the first year I've raced."
A member of the Wagga branch of the Riverina Racing Pigeon Federation, Ryan has made an impressive start to the competitive side of pigeons.
Currently leader of the progressive long distance point score, Ryan made a clean sweep of races flown last week from Coonamble, an airline distance of 480 kilometres.
"So far so good," he laughs.
With 150 racing birds, and 20 pairs of breeding stock, Ryan falls well short of the numbers of some other prominent pigeon fanciers in the region.
"Pigeon racing is pretty big in Temora," he said.
"Some of them over there have got 300 birds.
"I'd only be about average with 150."
For Ryan, the racing angle is only half the challenge of having a loft full of prized fliers.
"You try to breed your own birds," he said. "A while back I went around Australia and met some breeders in Port Pirie and Port Augusta, which is a renowned racing area.
"I bought some stock birds and sort of went from there.
"They were the nucleus (of the breeding program)."
A keen tennis player, Ryan will soon have more time to devote to the courts.
Fellow Wagga pigeon racer John Clay said the racing "season" was reaching a climax.
"There are only a few races left," Clay said. "It will all start up again next year."

"Gabys" Score in the 2009 North American Ace Championships!
After studying the "Gaby" bloodlines of "Little Champ," Laurie McConnell's double 1st North American Ace Pigeon, I found it very interesting that the successful Canadian/Florida flier John Marles, also racing "Gaby" bloodlines, won 2nd North American Sprint Ace Pigeon (Old Bird) 2009! His ace is a Gaby Vandenabeele, but is a hen, named "Sylvan Magnolia," CU08SYLVAN40 BBH. She was flown in Brooksville, Florida about 10 miles short of Laurie McConnell's loft! John Marles flies as "Marles & Evans," as his "Gaby" pigeons emanate from the Evans' Myrtle Loft in Great Britian.
John had moved down from Canada to challenge himself in the tough "Little Belgium" area competition. He had two modern lofts built on a hill top, right on the line of flight, then stocked them with his best Canadian/British Sylvan/Evans "Gabys." They performed outstandingly, winning club and concourse races, and other awards.
"Sylvan Magnolia" is a granddaughter of the potent stud cock "Golden Gaby," which cost Mark Evans around thirty thousand dollars! He is descended from such famous Gabys as Wittenbuik, Limoges, De 150, etc. "Golden Gaby" was not only an outstanding breeder, but was also a champion racer, having won 1st National NPO Orleans 376 miles 12,875 birds; 2nd Arras 6,124 b; 3rd Nijvel 3553 birds; 6th Arras 14,674 birds; 14th Peronne 2975 birds; 16th Reims 2316 birds; 20th Nijvel 16,652 birds; 35th St Quentin 2013 birds; 40th Epernay 6558 birds; etc.!! Quite a good year for John Marles and his "Gabys."
Along with two fancier friends, Tom Crawford, and Bob DeBatt of Mist Moore Loft, I spent an interesting afternoon at the loft of John Marles in Brooksville, FL. I found a first class operation: Excellent pigeons, functional lofts, and a very interesting & knowledgeable flier.
We talked about many things relating to our sport, but I had one question that I was really interested in hearing his answer to: "John, you have raced successfully in your homeland Ontario, Canada for decades, then you moved and flew successfully in Brooksville, Florida, USA, two diverse geographical and climatic areas. What changes did you have to make to your usual methods to race successfully in Florida? His answer was illuminating: " Tom, I found that the key to achieving success in Florida after racing for almost fifty years in Canada was to listen closely to the Florida fanciers and above all be very flexible in my thinking.
The change in environment from racing in Ontario, Canada to Florida was definitely a paradigm shift for me. I went from racing in a rather cool climate where you may encounter a few days in the 90's (degrees F) in summer time, to one where every day was in the 90's!! This coupled with the tremendous humidity in Florida became my daily reality.
To achieve success in this hot, humid climate (environment) I feel that there are at least three major areas to address: First of all, there is the dilemma of providing and maintaining a good feeding program. The optimum weight of a bird racing in a hot and humid climate is very, very significant. What to feed, how much and when to add those finishing touches before the race, so that they remain extremely buoyant, is of paramount importance.
John Weeks, my next door neighbor (in Florida), helped me tremendously by consistently pointing out the heavy ones. The second major adaptation was in the medication program. Constant observation is a must with temperatures this high. Third, is finding the critical balance between resting and racing the birds. It is important to keep the birds hydrated and make sure that their restoration period comes complete with an array of different vitamins, electrolytes and minerals ."
John Marles and Lori McConnell were not the only fliers to win with the "Gaby" pigeons in the 2009 N Am Ace Championships:
FERREIRA/EVANS Ontario, Canada Win 1st Up North Combine Ace YB 2009 and 6th Overall North American Ace Pigeon Young Bird Division 2 (1001 - 2000 birds ) 2009 with "SYLVAN SMART"
Joe Ferreira has raced pigeons for decades, and has won a lot, but he says the best pigeons he ever owned are the "Marles & Evans Gaby Vandeabeeles." Joe says that when he first introduced them, " I told John Marles that I didn't like the size of them, some too big and deep keeled, but they've proven me wrong. They win in the short, middle, and long distance races, both slow and fast! Our average velocity here in Ontario is in the 1200's (ypm), which is much slower and tougher than the speeds in Florida" where Marles and McConnell fly." John continued: "The birds that are flying really well for me come down mainly from a Gaby pigeon named "De Bandit," that Evans' Myrtle Loft bought for their stud in England. "De Bandit" flew 44 races, winning 42 prizes, 28 in the first ten positions, and 8 x 1st!! What a pigeon!; a real champion! It was flown by Lucien Vandenbossche and is actually 3 Gaby blood and 1 Robert Williquet blood. It has been mated on the best "Gaby" hens and has produced winners and breeders of winners in several countries. Most of the "BANDIT" family are large in size, but "are very buoyant."
Joe's Ace pigeon "SYLVAN SMART" CU09SYLVAN0426 BBC was bred from a "Gaby" flier that was 4th Champion Bird in the Up North Combine. It was hit by a hawk, then retired to stock, which was fortuitous as it became a top producer. "SYLVAN SMART" was flown on the darkening system winning 1st Champion Bird in the regular young bird series and 1st Overall Champion Bird in both series in the Up North Combine (100 lofts + -), and topped off the year winning 6th Overall North American Ace Pigeon Young Bird Division 2 (1001 - 2000 birds) 2009, 6th North American Sprint Ace Pigeon (YB) Div 2 2009 & 8th North American Middle Distance Ace Pigeon Young Bird Division 3 (501 - 1000 birds) 2009!!
Joe also won 2nd Overall Champion Bird in the Up North Combine YBs 2009 with another "Gaby" named "SYLVAN BELLA," a cousin of "SYLVAN SMART."
"SYLVAN SMART's" yb record was: 4th 122 miles Up North Combine 1100 birds 14th 181 miles UNC 1210 birds 14th 273 miles UNC 984 birds 19th 119 miles UNC 1354 birds 33rd 325 miles UNC 742 birds and 63rd 238 miles UNC 1365 birds!
Joe had a team of top performing Gaby ybs in 2009. They won 4th North American Ace YB Loft (Division 2) racing as Ferreira & Evans in the Up North Pigeon Racing Combine 100 lofts + . Their record: 119 miles 1354 birds 17th, 19th 122 miles 1100 birds 3rd, 4, 5, 21, 22, 34 181 miles 1210 birds 14th, 15, 16, 33, 45, 53 238 miles 1365 birds 14th, 21, 22, 63 273 miles 984 birds 11th, 12, 13, 14, 28 325 miles 742 birds 1st, 2nd, 32, 33, 34.
Another top "Gaby" pigeon that scored in the 2009 N Am Ace Championships was: DERRICK HUMPHREYS 3rd North American Sprint Ace Pigeon (YB) Division 3 (501 - 1000 birds).
Derrick flies as "The Mate's Loft" in the North Atlanta RP Club (15 lofts) and the Peach State Combine in Georgia USA competing against 40 - 50 lofts. Derrick has a 42 miles over-fly from the first drop lofts! Races are SE from the Carolinas into Georgia; a flat course with variable winds. Derrick says the best decision he ever made was to introduce the Gaby Vandenabeele pigeons from Sylvan/Evans. Once he started racing them they beat everything in his loft, so he got rid of all the other strains!
Derrick races his early bred young birds the whole series, but the late breds are only trained and flown around the loft. In old birds he races a team of yearlings and a separate team of older birds. The yearling team of 16 cocks is flown up to 200 miles; some are flown to the perch, while others are flown natural, to the nest. Those that fly well graduate to the Old Bird widowhood team, which also has 16 cocks, two years of age and older. They go all the way to 500 miles (850 km).
In 2007 Derrick bred some nice Gaby late-breds, among them a blue cock (4531) that was not raced, but loved to fly around the loft, diving and swerving. He was a brother of two other 1st place winners. As a yearling this blue cock joined the yearling team and was flown to the perch. It became the best racer in the loft, winning 2 x 1st and a number of other prizes. Derrick named him the "MATE." As a two year old he was put on the widowhood team and continued his winning ways with 2 x 1st & 2 x 2nd in club, and in the Peach State Combine: 3rd 188 miles 337 birds 5th 188 miles 676 birds 9th 188 miles 654 birds & 18th 188 miles 535 birds. "MATE" showed good form all season and never came home tired. This record won "MATE" AU07GA4531 BBC 3rd North American Sprint Ace Pigeon 2009! Derrick was thrilled!
"MATE" never flew past 200 miles (330 km) and was slated to go all the way to 500 miles (850 km) as a three year old, but Derrick thought better of it. He remembered how he lost "Mate's" dam on the road last year, so he decided to retire the cock to the breeding loft in 2010. He says he feared losing "MATE" to hawks, which are prolific in his area. "MATE" won 16 diplomas in club and combine, in two seasons! He has won in NW winds at 1359 ypm; ENE winds at 1536 ypm; WNW winds at 1387 ypm; and SSW winds at 1191 ypm! No matter what the wind, he was there! What an Ace pigeon!
Derrick likes the "Gaby" pigeons so much that he has formed a partnership with John Gladwin "Formula 1 Loft" (GB) and imported ten Gabys to strengthen his team. They are also Evans line "Gabys," which are all either performance birds that have won themselves or birds that have bred winners. Derrick is very serious about winning . He says that "MATE" is the best pigeon he ever raced and his intentions are to breed many more like him ..
So there you have some of the top winners in the 2009 North American Ace Pigeon & Ace Loft Championships ..No doubt there are other top strains represented in the Championships, but the Evans' "Gabys" made a definite "statement" in the 2009 results. Congratulations to one and all.

Pigeon racing is growing in popularity locally.
Reg Wiltshire, of Marmora, has been racing pigeons most of his life. He now does it with his wife Sue.
"My dad and my grandfather had top flyers, in England," he told Community Press.
There was a brief period when he quit racing pigeons but the sport drew him back and he is into it now more than ever. "Moe Moses of Frankford, another racer, gave me birds when I got back into it," he explained. "The birds he gave me I couldn't afford to buy. They are all pedigree birds."
"And when another of the guys in the club was leaving he gave me most of my stock birds."
Wiltshire passed on the good deed this summer when he gave some birds to a new racer, 14-year-old Nicholas Young of Frankford.
"He won his first race with them," he said with a grin.
"Moe always said to me â don't give away junk â give away the best you can. I don't give anything away I wouldn't keep myself," he added.
Wiltshire now has about 150 pigeons, 40 of the older birds, 60 of the young racers, (those born after January 2010) and stock birds for breeding.
He has a lot of Janssens (named after two brothers from Arendonk, Belgium who made history because of the performances of their pigeons) and Van Loons (a strain of racing pigeons created by Louis Van Loon of Holland).
For Wiltshire, racing is all about his fascination with the birds.
"They are amazing. Just think about it. Nobody knows how they find their way home â some say a magnetic force or the pull of the equator but they always head home to where they are raised. They fly up to 600 miles to get back. They are incredible."
Pigeons racing has taught him a lot, Wiltshire said.
"There's a lot of life lessons you can learn from these birds," he said. If left to themselves they are monogamous and they'll die to get home and they are loyal to their home."
As a member of the Quinte and District Invitational Racing Pigeon Club, his birds often fly with those of other nearby clubs, such as the Tri-County Flyers.
The Quinte club is part of what is known as the Eastern Ontario Combine which has 13 different clubs and they are in turn part of the national organization known as the "CU" (Canadian Racing Pigeon Union) founded in 1929.
Wiltshire's birds often fly alongside those of Barry Wannamaker of Trenton who is also a member of the Quinte club.
Wannamaker started racing pigeons in 1980 and now has about 250 birds.
"I see them as working birds â and they are not pets â however every bird has its own attitude. Every flyer has their own personality. I have one that when I go into the loft he flies onto my shoulder cause he wants his food," he said.
One common thread is evident among pigeon fanciers everywhere . . . their commitment to the sport.

In deze verkoop de vitesse- en midfondduiven van René Dalmolen uit Wedde. De laatste jaren heeft René veel geïnvesteerd in de duiven en zijn hokken worden veelal bevolkt door duiven rechtstreeks van Geert Munnik, dit aangevuld met zijn eigen stam veelal gebaseerd op de duiven van Pieter Veenstra.
Vanwege grote problemen met de roofvogels is het voor René niet mogelijk om zijn duiven gedegen voor te bereiden voor de wedvluchten in de maanden april en mei. Volgens afspraak zijn alle duiven welke afkomstig waren van Geert Munnik teruggegaan naar zijn hokken. Naar jaarlijkse gewoonte hebben we onze Nationale kampioenendagen. Deze gaan door op vrijdag 19, zaterdag 20 en zondag 21 november, en net als vorig jaar, in het Casino Cursaal te Oostende. Wij zijn er terug te vinden op stand nr.14 en heten U uiteraard van harte welkom.
Er werden door onze klanten in 2010 alweer resultaten neergezet die helemaal niet onopgemerkt bleven zoals U in een nieuwsbrief eerder deze week al kon zien. We nodigen deze mensen dan ook graag uit op onze stand op zaterdag of zondag om een kleine attentie in ontvangst te komen nemen.
Verder hebben we ook onze nieuwe catalogus van zowel Matador als Backs. Voor wat Matador betreft werden een aantal van onze mengelingen naar aanleiding van de meest recente ontwikkelingen en het gebruik in de praktijk, aangepast en verbeterd. Onze nieuwe testvoer HE, wat staat voor High Energie, wordt ook opgenomen in het assortiment.
Bij Backs werden Bambino en Z + M 2011 boven de doopvont gehouden. Bambino, een opfokvoer met dierlijke eiwitten, Z + M 2011, een compleet product voor de rui, kweek en opfokperiode.

Last weeks the birds from last shipment are released and it seems all guys are more than happy with the birds, our service and all that comes along I would like to wish them all good luck with the birds and lets hope some champion breeders are amongst them!!!
And more good news . We have a new permit to import pigeons into South Africa . We will organize a new shipment 15 February 2011!!! We know it a long time but the space is limited!!!

Kelly Dohmen Geleen. Deze nog jonge succesvolle combinatie heeft besloten om de toekomst meer focus te leggen op de dagfond en het morgenlossingsprogramma. Door aanschaf van nieuwe kweekduiven, is besloten, om een aantal bewezen kweekduiven de mogelijkheid te geven, hun kwaliteiten op een ander hok door te geven.
Kelly Dohmen is het vlieghok van Dovital en de reputatie van Dovital staat garant voor de aangeboden duiven!
Harm Vredeveld. Een van onze nationale iconen! Beroemd geworden met zijn super-kweekkoppel "Dreampair" en inmiddels met zijn familie een combinatie gevormd onder de naam Vredeveld Leemhuis. Dit jaar is herstart en hun visitekaartje met de jonge duiven is alweer afgegeven.
Van de grootmeester zelf nog een 6 tal rechtstreekse met o.a. Martin van Zon bloedlijnen ingekruist in de verkoop.
Jan Oost - Elp. Van deze geweldenaar op de midfond een 13 tal zomer en late jongen uit de superlijnen "Bijter X Visje". Jan is altijd een gedreven speler geweest maar met de komst van nazaten van dit geweldige kweekkoppel is Jan Oost binnen enkele jaren doorgebroken tot de Nationale Midfond Top. Met een 1e nationale klassering in 2009 en 2007 en daarbij nog een 3e & 4e plaats is dit palmares een om er je vingers bij af te likken. Zijn "Pieco" verhuisde naar het land van de reizende zon, terwijl de "Space Shuttle" naar Vredeveld-Leemhuis werd getransfereerd en inmiddels furore maakt op hun nieuwe kweekhok. Een uitgelezen kans om superduiven te bemachigen!
Vincent Schroeder en Johannes Jakobs maken de weg vrij:
is de titel van het "SiegerTauben-Magazin" van Vet Schroeder& Tollisan b.v., uitgegeven tijdens de beurzen in Kassel en Dortmund 2010.
In deze uitgave stellen beide prominente duivensport specialisten hun samenwerking voor, die vanuit hun nieuwe basis nabij het Roda Stadion te Kerkrade is gevestigd.
Vincent Schroeder, de jonge, ambitieuze duivenarts, heeft inmiddels een internationale klantenkring opgebouwd die zijn weerga niet kent. Alles wat nam en faam heeft, weet de weg naar Bilzen (B) - en in de toekomst ook naar Kerkrade - zonder TomTom te vinden!
Koopman, Sangers, Cools, Hagens, Vercammmen Braad de Joode, Vredeveld Leemhuis, Günther Prange zijn zomaar een kleine greep uit de imposante referentielijst van Schroeder. Zijn enorme exprtise is na zijn Universitaire opleiding verder verdiept bij Dr. Norbert Peeters As(B), praktijkwerk op laboratorium en natuurlijk thuis op het eigen duivenhok.
Johannes Jakobs heeft zijn sporen als duiven-expert inmiddels meer dan verdiend door de ontwikkeling en verkoop van duivenmedicijnen en aditieven. Daarnaast is hij een zeer bekwaam melker, die de waarde van de door hem ontwikkelde produkten in de praktijk bewijst. Tolliamin Forte van Tollisan is een van zijn topprodukten, maar Dosto WG Ropa, Prange Suppe, Dr. Schwidde produkten e.v.a. zijn produkten die geproduceerd en verhandeld worden Jakobs.
De samenwerking van beide iconen, zal zijn synergie hebben voor ons als duivensporters. De specifieke kennis van duif, produktie en verdeling staan er garant voor, dat steeds "State of the Art" produkten ontwikkeld en voorhanden zijn, die beantwoorden aan de voortschrijdende kennis op het gebied van topsport en ziektebestijding. Een garantie voor ons in een kleiner worden sport, steeds goede en specifiek voor de duif preparaten ter beschikking te hebben!

We sell pigeons all over the world for many years, last year we sold over 3500 pigeons This year it seems that we will break this record again A big part of our job is organizing shipment to make sure the birds get into the loft of our clients, something this goes easy sometimes this is hard For shipment to Italy we had a transport company for many years, but since a while this company did stop taking our pigeons, they changed to routes and use drivers from all over Europe so taking the birds became too much hassle for the guy Bad for us We have a lot of clients in Italy So the big question of today We are looking for a way to get the sold birds into Italy, we are also looking for a partner there who can help us expand our business and talk to our clients in their own language. 11-11-2010 Actuele veiling op PigeonPlaza: In deze verkoop de vitesse- en midfondduiven van René Dalmolen uit Wedde. De laatste jaren heeft René veel geïnvesteerd in de duiven en zijn hokken worden veelal bevolkt door duiven rechtstreeks van Geert Munnik, dit aangevuld met zijn eigen stam veelal gebaseerd op de duiven van Pieter Veenstra. lees meer >>
10-11-2010- Ad Schaerlackens In deze tijd zijn duiven hevig aan het ruien of zijn ze er bijna door. En elk beetje schrijver voelt zich geroepen daar, elke herfst weer opnieuw, iets over op papier te zetten. Meestal over wat je het best kan doen om de duiven een steuntje te geven. lees meer >>

Vader en zoon Kuiper hebben een neusje voor goede duiven en vliegen hier zeer hard mee. Op eigen hok, maar ook collega duivenmelkers maken ze blij met hun duiven. Vader Martin die in het verleden furore maakte met zijn Janssen de Klak duiven, is de laatste jaren op zoek gegaan naar nog betere duiven en heeft deze gekruist en zuiver gehouden.
Ze wilden het beste van het beste en deze zoektocht is nog steeds niet ten einde. Ze hebben o.a. gekeken bij Martin van Zon. Via via hadden ze al verschillende duiven van Martin. Maar het was niet genoeg. Ze hebben bij Martin nog 7 jonge duiven meegenomen om de lijnen goed vast te leggen en in te kruisen.
In 2006 hebben ze de duiven van Martin ingekruisd met de lijn Prins x Prinsesje 2 rechtstreekse Koopman duiven uit de oude lijnen van Gerard. Met de jonge duiven werden in 2007 al diverse teletekst prijzen en 1e prijzen in grootverband binnen gesleept.
Dezelfde duiven vlogen het afgelopen seizoen weer diverse teletekst vermeldingen (Afd.10) en 1e prijzen in groot verband bij elkaar. Dit zowel op de vitesse, midfond als dagfond. We kunnen hier spreken over allround duiven. Als klap op de vuurpijl vloog de 07-1123807 als een raket en was o.a. Beste Midfonddoffer Afd 10 en 4de Midfondduif WHZB!
In deze veiling veertien jonge duiven uit de beste dagfondrassen, hoofdzakelijk C & G Koopman, Martin van Zon en Nico Jan Koenders.
