Op uw scherm de 22e nieuwsbrief van 2011. Inmiddels zijn alleen nog enkele taartvluchten aan de gang, verder is voor velen het vliegseizoen ten einde. Tijd om te selecteren. When the season is at its height, there are about 18 widow cocks and 18 widow hens present at the loft (and even then some of the boxes are empty), about 80% of them are yearlings. Only the real top birds survive a merciless selection procedure and after a maximum of 3 seasons they are transferred to the breeding loft ! About 120 youngsters are kept for own use, along with 30 breeding couples. Thats it ! Top class birds winning for year!!! From today, the long awaited book Kingmaker: De Rauw Sablon, a racing pigeon dynasty is for sale via the webshop of www.pipa.be. It is a co-production from the Canadian fancier and journalist Silvio Mattacchione and Nikolaas Gyselbrecht, founder and manager of Pigeon Paradise (PIPA), the most frequently visited pigeon information and auction site. They worked for more than 2 years on this comprehensive reference guide over one of the Flanders most successful and mythical pigeon pedigrees: De Rauw Sablon.
The book tells the story of the origin of the pedigree, the backgrounds and testimonials of various pigeon fanciers who have bred with this bloodline. It also gives an overview of the most important results and success up to today. This work is unique in a lot of respects. It is the first complete testimonial of the acclaimed De Rauw - Sablon pigeons. In addition, the book also tries to reveal the secrets which made this pedigree a top pedigree.
Both authors worked as accurately as possible. In addition to a great deal of research in Belgium and abroad, they also talked to the most leading fanciers who were crowned champion with De Rauw Sablon pigeons.
