First of all I would like to apologize for the absence of the Daily Episode yesterday. But I had a very good reason to skip a day. Yesterday I visited Comb. Willems Wijnants in Eijsden, Belgium. The absolute number 1 on Barcelona 2010.... They won National in Belgium 5th, 6th, 8th, 24th, 35th, 63rd, 86th, 112th, 184th, 209th, 360th, 364th and more... 29 prize cards from 73 raced birds!!! International this resulted in 9th, 10th, 12th, 51st, 76th and more. International hens 4th, 5th, 6th, 18th, 48th 89th and more... Not to many times in my life I say results on Barcelona like this. So as a true Barcelona fan I had a lot to talk with Ber so I was simply too late home to make the Daily Episode... But the visit was 100% worth it... A top fancier, with some of the best birds I did ever see.... More to be come soon.....
Great successes with our birds in Malta again!!! Andrew Pace, is one of the guys we helped a bit in finding birds... In a few years Andrew became one of the man to beat in Malta. This weekend he did proof again, that very good breeders can be bought for normal prices... He won 1st, 2nd, 20th, 30th, 32nd, 35th Reggio Di Calabria (288 KM) in the club against 318 pigeons which resulted in 1st & 2nd National all Malta against 6000 pigeons....Andrew congratulations and keep up the good work. Een duivenforum waar de regelmatige schrijvers het ook regelmatig eens of oneens zijn met elkaar geeft op den duur een verbintenis van de liefhebbers onderling. We leren elkaar kennen, staan af en toe op elkaars tenen, maar de boventoon is en blijft toch dat we elkaar ook helpen waar nodig en zo worden we een beetje duivenfamilie van elkaar. Soms steek ik iets op, en probeer af en toe ook mijn visie neer te pennen als ik denk dat het een positieve bijdrage kan betekenen voor andere liefhebbers, kortom we worden niet dommer hier. Ik denk dat de duivensport gebaat is met openheid en de puntjes op de i zetten we toch allemaal anders op ons eigen hok, waardoor er geen twee gelijk zijn of zullen worden. Het uitgangspunt voor goeie prestaties zijn en blijven goeie duiven, en om elkaar wat dat betreft ook een handje toe te steken ben ik dit initiatief gestart..

De 'Sterrenparade' van Fondclub Herentals loopt nog enkele dagen.
Zaterdag a.s. omstreeks 16.30 u. komt er een eindveiling in zaal Mollenhof, Lichtaartseweg 1 in Poederlee (op 5 km Herentals - 35 km van Antwerpen). Wie via internet het hoogste bod heeft, kan hieraan telefonisch deelnemen als hij dat wenst.
Nooit was ons aanbod zo uitgebreid en interessant . Onze bonnenverkoop heeft zelfs een internationaal tintje. Wie tijdens het weekend de viering van de ZLU in Kerkrade heeft meegemaakt, heeft daar met eigen ogen kunnen zien dat Ko Van Dommelen, Piet de Vogel, de gebr. Hagens, A.P. Overwater, Arie en Bert Saarloos, Leen Tijl, ... tot de absolute top op de overnachtvluchten behoren in Nederland . Het doet ons dan ook pijn te moeten vaststellen dat deze bonnen tot dusver fel ondergewaardeerd bleven. Hopelijk komt daar de volgende dagen toch enige verandering in.
Ook de belangstelling voor onze eigen Nationale Kampioenen op de zware fond, waar we van bijna iedereen een schenking hebben (plaatsen 2 t.e.m. 8) zijn echt wel ondermaats te noemen.
Dus ... voor wie het een stapje verder wil wagen, zijn er echt wel mogelijkheden deze week.
Zoals op elke verkoop blijven er altijd aanbiedingen ondergewaardeerd. Dat is bijzonder jammer voor de schenker en ook voor de clubverantwoordelijken is dit een minder aangename ervaring. Uiteindelijk ga je toch alleen maar op zoek naar aanbiedingen die een interessante marktwaarde hebben. Dat is toch het opzet van een bonnenverkoop.
Met de 10 000 euro binnen bereik zijn we echt wel tevreden maar dat er een deel kansen onbenut blijven en dat er nog behoorlijk wat ruimte is om te bieden, daarvan zijn we evenzeer overtuigd.

We had a very nice chat this morning. I am sure that this new agreement will be big step forward to the UK market for us... Colin is over at least once a month so from now the fanciers in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Scotland will have to wait no longer than 30 days fro their birds!!! This morning ALL the birds which where waiting here for shipping have bin picked up by our new partner in shipping, Colin Curtees. We had a very nice chat this morning. I am sure that this new agreement will be big step forward to the UK market for us... Colin is over at least once a month so from now the fanciers in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Scotland will have to wait no longer than 30 days fro their birds!!!
