Typhoons are very common in the region of South China this time of the year. Typhoon Morakot hit Taiwan very badly this week. Luckily we were not in it !! In the picture you see Morakot's course on the 8th, hitting taiwan, on the 9th hitting mainland, and the 10th and 11th of August. We found out in a local newspaper on the eighth, Shanghai was under an orange typhoon alert. Fortunately the typhoon never reached Shanghai, the only noticable thing for us were heavy rains and very dark clouds.
On the 9th we were still in Shanghai and the big alert was over, the 10th we were on the train from Shanghai to Guilin (where we are now, Yanghzou to be correct.), and on the 11th we arrived in Guilin.
Today we heavy rains so we did intelligent things like watching a movie. Now it has cleared up so we go for a walk around this Benidorm-like village.
Muassssssssssssss milllllllll
