One of our site visitors named Denise Miller sent in a photo of her daughter Elise with Pete from the DKNY launch in Washington. Her daughter is ill and hasn't attended school in two years. Pete agreed to meet her without the large crowd in the green room, She said he was a real sweet heart and even though Pete had a cold he was still nice to everyone!

Pete wentz talks Fame, New Fall Out Boy Songs & One Hilarious Emo Gag.
Earlier this week, Rolling Stone caught up with Pete Wentz during a stop in New York, hoping just to see what was brewing in the mind of the Fall Out Boy bassist. Among Wentzs insights: Fame means watching where you put your fingers. I cant pick my nose at stoplights which I do anyway, he says. Thats what window tints are for. And while despite his growing stardom, hes feeling pretty tame these days (In a weird way, Ive become domestic. I dont feel the need for everybody to know everything about me), hes been somewhat inspired by the self-destructive impulses of the Lohans and Spears of the world. The bands upcoming Young Wild Things tour takes its name from a classic kids book, but Theres also a play on words of the young wild thing idea that everybody has with Hollywood and starlets right now.
Also, Fall Out Boy are working on some folky sounding material for their next album. We just wrote those songs in the back of the bus with an acoustic guitar. Im not really sure what will happen with them, Wentz says. Theres one about some friends who ended up in crazy strip club in France, which is a cool song. When the subject turned to emo, Wentz, amazingly, didnt challenge us to a fight in fact, he sounded pretty good-natured about it. I get what people are saying with the eyeliner and the girl pants and this and that. Hopefully, [emo] is more than just a T-shirt slogan. Hopefully some of us bands are able to grow and become bigger than emo, the bassist said. Wentz also talked about a visual gag we seriously hope that FOB will still put into play sometime: For a long time, we talked about playing in front of a giant banner that said EMO. If youre emo, you might as well be in on the joke.

i know much of our new video focuses on a narrative- a love story between two ugandan teenagers- but we also wanted to make sure that we got some of the facts on the situation out there:
FACTS:
Approx. 70,000 people abducted. The majority of them being children (38,000).
This is the longest running war in Africa, between the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) and the government of Uganda. 1985 2007 (22 years)
CURRENT SITUATION: There are peace talks at the moment, resulting in the absence of night commuting and abductions are relatively non existent. The peace talks take place in Juba, Sudan.
WHAT IS OUR GOV. DOING: Largely influenced by Displace Me, our gov assigned a senior diplomat to oversee the peace talks in Juba. But we need to push them to stay involved.
DISPLACEMENT: Approx 1.6 million people were forced into Displacement camps 10 years ago.
what can we do: write our congressman and direct people over to invisiblechildren.com to see for themselves.
we want to make this absolutely clear- ic is a very transparent organization. you can see where each of your dollars is going towards. also, we again made no money off of this video at all. any excess budget from the video will be donated to future IC projects.

wow. i cant say much more. i am so proud. its rare when you really realize how blessed you are. thank you very much for voting for GCH when they won the room went nuts. people were screaming and crying it was insane. we had the best time in our suite. it felt like the old days when we played very small shows. all of our friends were there i havent seen it on tv but i hope it came across that way. also, there were a bunch of songs we taped that didnt air- including: carpal tunnel, beat it and cobra and panic played a new song! i hope they show it in some of the re-airs. we are in new york already. sorry if this entry is jumbled i am so tired. thank you so much for putting us here! i am so happy to be a part of something like this, that feels so real. we spoke to eachother today. everytime we win an award or get some kind of recognition we really feel like we should pay our fans back. this time we were thinking of playing some unannounced shows in cafes and really small places- but maybe acoustic this song and play some old covers and that kind of stuff. well see. but we have plans. also on fuse watch out, we are tring to convince them to let us play some really old songs.
ill try to get some sleep. just sat in patricks roon and listened to him play new songs. it is insane to be around someone with such talent. i feel completely in awe of him. i dont think youll be disappointed.

Pete: It's 'Crazy' Kissing Best Friend Ashlee
Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson looked like music's most romantic couple at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas this weekend and it wasn't just for show. "We're past the honeymoon period," Wentz told PEOPLE. "The truth is, it's crazy to be able to kiss your best friend. It's just a really awesome thing." And Wentz gets the paternal thumbs up from Ashlee's dad, Joe Simpson. "He's a good kid," Joe told PEOPLE.
Wentz also insists that the couple's affection for each other is very real. "People like to make it seem different than it is," he said Saturday of their relationship. "People will say 'No one holds hands that much.' But I'm like 'Why would you not want to touch the person that you're in love with? '" As well as performing with his band Fall Out Boy, Wentz was in town to an unveil a wax sculpture Saturday afternoon at Madame Tussauds at the Venetian for the Xbox game Halo.
Later Wentz and Simpson, in a short black dress that opened at the back, were spotted at a VIP table at GQ's event at Jet Nightclub. The couple turned in early, leaving others in their party including her father and Wentz's fellow band members, well before midnight. Las Vegas, Wentz admitted earlier, was not his favorite place.
"When I'm here for more than eight hours I feel like my soul is dwindling," he said. While at home in Southern California, "we hang out in the Valley 90 percent of the time because nobody bugs you over there," he said. "I don't need to go out for a photo op."

September 08, 2007 ahhh las vegas. havent slept in god knows how many hours. we apologize for those who tuned in to fahsion rocks expecting to see us. we were booked on both the VMAS and fashion rocks and were only allowed to play one- we happened to be booked on the vmas first so thats what we ended up doing. the show still seemed pretty rad. we are rehearsing like crazy here. dont forget to go over to the gym class website and vote for them as best new artist!!!!

Perhaps it was was his dour expression, tatted-up arms or curious eye makeup -- but Ashlee Simpson's main man must have looked a little suspicious at LAX yesterday -- as he was pulled aside for an extra-special security pat down. Fall out of line, boy!
Wentz, who will be performing at this weekend's VMAs in Las Vegas, was frisked by a guard after being singled out -- for some reason. Are the precociously adorable singled out for frisking?

ahh finally a computer that works. it feels like drinking a cherry coke after youve been on a desert island for a year- or whatever. the around the world tour was amazing. should see some funny reading and leeds photos and video around the net soon. alos we WON two teen choice awards. we were on a twelve hour flight and werent able to be there- but let me tell you we were jumping up and down in the aisles when we heard the news! until the flight attendants were like "um sir that is not acceptable behavior". our acceptance speeches were cut short by the seat belt sign coming on. it got us talking about how far weve come. i mean patrick is a full on producer, clan and dkny jeans partnership, joetrohs riffs, and andys drum company. we are so proud. its rare when we actually have moments where we stop and think about it. truly thank you for letting some scummy asshats from chicago the chance to do all of this. up next is the vmas! we are pretty excited for that too. we are back in full on writing mode right now. dunno when if ever a new record will come out but keep your fingers crossed.
finally saw an edit of the "me and you" video- it actually hurt my head watching it. its heartbreaking. currently it is way too long but we cant think of what we can edit out. maybe we will put out the video in two forms not too sure right now.
anyway, get back to searching the internet for andy/joe slash- i apologize for the interruption.
p.s. keep checking us out over at trl- i have a little birdy in my ear that tells me that all of the label litigation is finally over and well be able to do some stuff with fuse on the new video! also, some tour dates have gone on sale so go grab your tickets for the fall tour now before scalpers get them and jack the prices up!

Fall Out Boy frontman Pete Wentz is being honest for the first time in his relationship history after falling for Ashlee Simpson.
Previous partnerships saw the emo rocker impatient with his squuezes and untrustworthy in his behaviour. But now he believes he's met his match with gorgeous Ashlee. He told me: "This is the first relationship I've been in when I've been honest with the person. There's something that has to be said for two people who are doing something creative. Lots of time you can feel like you're baby-sitting someone in a relationship. I've been in relationships when I've signed autographs for fans and the person would get really jealous. There's a story on the internet saying Ashlee is like that, but it's just insane. She would never do that."
