Fosterhome needed in Belgium
FOSTERHOME needed from November 26 till January 3 !!! Ine Goris has adopted WIGGLE... YEAHHHHHH But as she is only moving into her new home on January 3 and her landlord does not permit her having a dog in the appartment where she lives till then, we are looking for a fosterhome from November 26 till January 3 in Limburg (Belgium/Netherlands)

On a Sunday to the vets
On a Sunday at the vets... that is not a good sign... Thank you Jose for stitching Tommy's ear up Lately I m just too busy with the pupsand all and not spending enough time with the other rescues... frown emoticon I'm sorry Came in to find him with his ear cut ... so quickly torched him to stop the bleeding and then drove to the clinic to have it stiched up. Small chance of healing, but we will try !!!!

It's his birthday
My dearest Cubanito. It's your birthday today... But you will never get any older... They took your life away in a brutal unforgivable way but your essence will always be with us here.. Thank you for having joined us again the night you died. You are at peace now and surrounded by love. If only I could turn the clock back and save you once again... I'm sorry I let you leave the Whispering Ranch...

We (Addi and I made passportpictures this morning but none of the pups wanted to sitt still ...so I picked them up... They were not impressed for their picture to be taken... I 'll spare you the view of the guestbathroom where the pups slept... O M G ... Anyways I hardly slept so worried one will fall in the swimmingpool one day so ...no other solution then to take other measures. And yes I do have a wintercover... but can't fix it anymore into the ground as it was all destroyed with the heavy storm of last winter...so it is not safe either just like this... Damn...work work work

Devastated R.I.P.
For 2027 days I took care of this very special horse... Cubanito xxi, the horse who whispered to me and my inituition to be saved early december 2009... The boy who trusted me immediately and came to me to stay. The leader of the rescue horses that I saved. My heart was ripped into pieces when I was informed this afternoon that he was in a stupid accident this morning. Later I found out he died. I am so angry I broke my promise to him and let him go to Belgium but Brenda was the best what could happen to him. He was the most intelligent horse I ever met, not the easiest one (as he was so intelligent). I have let him down as I could not protect him once away... What happened today, pull away and then trip over the cord and break his neck should never have happened. This boy had his whole future ahead of him. I am devastated, totally broken...

Help
I was contacted today through a Dutch Dogforum by a lady with a Charity for Rabbits... A dog with 11 pups was going to be "removed"... by the owner of a camping and if I could help... It was now or... never. So I quickly contacted my vetclinic to see if we all could intervene. I am wondering what we are going to discover in the morning...

The Whisperers marmelade
After Boomer left us, I had a lot of time to fill... So we spend hours, lots of hours picking fresh figs and making lots of different marmalade recipes For the 5th year in a row, available as of now and delivering in the Netherlands in October, and Belgium in November. All for the charity of the Whispering Rescue Ranch !!!

My body aches, my shoulders feel old, but I did it and it's done. Broke down a wall yesterday filled with cement (I only builds decent strong walls of course) so the tractor would be able to put that expensive Raygrass under a roof...

Black weekend
We had a Black Weekend at the Whispering Ranch, a bad, bad, weekend indeed... frown emoticon First I discovered that a bug has reached the Whispering Ranch and is killing all our piteras...Over 80 % have already died in just a few days... And when I wanted to get some food for the horses from the winter reserve, I found out it was ALL molded and has gone bad... The WHOLE winterreserve of bayo... I only have food for another 2 weeks left... A loss of over 1000 That I later on floaded the whole terrace and kitchen was felt as not important, of course... The food of the horse being more important than everything...
