It is with great sadness that I have to announce to you that Boomer left his earthly body in the early hours of Monday.
He had a seizure at 2.30 am and would not survive another one. Therefor his vet and I decided to prevent him from a second attack or suffering and have let him go surrounded by love, warmth and respect... More info will follow soon on the blog. Boomer started showing the signs of his illness during the night, vomited once and had diarhea... He hates that just like I do and I can feel how he feels. I thought he would want to quit today...but waking up with a cool breeze... Apparently I got it wrong...

Chiefvet of vetclinic JG is coming over this afternoon to evaluate Boomer
So I did not go down to the clinic with Boomer. Boomer was not feeling well stomachwise and I did not want to take any risk on him getting sick in the car... I hate vomiting so I don't want him to have to either !!! I have just the best vetclinic there is !!! Mar and Mariano came to us, took blood of Boomer, Cheyenne and Gipsy and put a new catheder in Boomie's back leg so he could get some I.V. fluids. Still barking, still jumping up when a stranger comes near to the house,but resting a lot too, most of the day in fact. Still waggling that tail when he sees me, still in for a cuddle (sssssht don't repeat that out loud), still ..... Owow and Addi came by too... with a BIG chuleton for Boomer for tonight, yeahhhhhh. So what did the bloodtests say ? I only have 1 healthy rescue dog left: Gipsy... she is free of any southern disease... Cheyenne tested Leishmaniose positive, Tommy Anaplasma and Boomer... well Leishmaniose of course and Erhlichia which is killing him... PS I do put the nice pictures up from Boomer, the good moments...
All healing thoughts are welcome... 2 hours ago Eva got the message that Boomer needed a blood transfusion now !! Boomer is undergoing the procedure at this very moment, a procedure which is not without risk... Lucky Boomer to have a great vetclinic with lots of people caring for him... and of course Eva is with him...
