Moss is een klein jong ontwerpbureau ontstaan
uit onze small buisiness project samenwerking.
Wij specialiseren ons in sustainable urban
nature design, waarin de behoeften van de mens centraal staat.
Ons eerste project is voor Aveve die hun winkelketen
uitbreiden onder de naam Aveve City
Garden.Zoals de naam het zegt zijn
deze winkels afgestemd op de noden van een stadstuintje, dikwijls kleine oases
verscholen tussen de gebouwen.

Naam
De naam Moss is wel degelijk een link naar de
plantenfamilie. Mos is een voorbeeld in sustainable design, waaruit we moeten
leren om in harmonie met onze omgeving te leven.
Het groeit in geschikte micro klimaatjes vestigt.
In een vochtig hoekje tussen de voegen van een metselwerk waar het beschut is
tegen de wind, of op restanten van een dode boomstam.
Mos is een zuinige plant die water verzamelt
uit dauwdruppeltjes en die harde arme bodems met tijd omvormt tot vruchtbare
oases.
Mossen waren de eerste landplantensoorten en
brengen leeftijd en rustgevende eigenschappen.
Mos is een voorbeeld in sustainable design,
waaruit we moeten leren om in harmonie met onze omgeving te leven.
Logo
Het symbool en kleur is
geinspireerd op de oorsprong en bron van leven. Zeeen, rivieren en meren zijn
oases waar de formule voor harmonie bewaart word.
De twee lijnen van het symbool zijn als de
fusie van elementen die evenwicht brengen. De soepele stijl symboliseert de
dynamiek van de natuurlijke levenscyclus.

De mensen
Ons team bestaat uit vier leden die elk hun
eigen sterke skills hebben. Samen vormen alle sterke kanten van de leden voor
een sterker team dat elkaar in evenwicht houd en versterkt.
CEO David
Spiessens is in ons verband de organisatorische arm. Hij waakt over
efficiëntie en vooruitgang. Veel meer als organisatie allen is hij ook een
richtinggevend persoon.
Niels
Torreele vervult een dubbele taak. Enerzijds verzorgt
hij de administratieve kant van de zaak, hij zorgt dat geen enkel sprankeltje inspiratie
of informatie verloren gaat. Anderzijds komen ook alle centen in zijn vak
terecht en word ook daar met veel structuur me omgesprongen.
Onze voeling met de klant word verzorgt door Yogi Beeuwsaert. Alles wat verkoop en
klantenwensen is word door hem onderzocht, aangebracht en verdedigd. In een
verder stadium van een product komt ook de logistiek op zijn schouders. De
klant en alleen de klant is zijn doel.
Technische oplossingen, ideeën en alles dat
niet te definiëren valt word naar het adres van Olmo Brood gestuurd. In zijn interne keuken word het product idee tot
een technisch haalbaar stadium gebracht.
Did you know 77% of the worlds plastic bottles end up in landfills?
That amounts to tens of metric tons of waste every year. If recycling
isnt the only answer, maybe we need to think of new ways to extend
the lives of these bottles. Seeds in the Bottle is a project by
designer Yun Hwan Sung with a little surprise in each package. Tiny
herb seeds are stored inside a pocket you release into the bottle when
youre done with it. Invert the bottle, fill with potting mix, water
and instead of filling up landfills, you have an herb garden.
A
tree that limits itself to only the air cleansing function. Oh yeh,
its prepped up with some LED lights to create a warm ambience, and a
seating ring at the base, to rest your tired feet. The over-all vibe is
of a tree alrite, and here is how it works. The tree has an electronic
fan (in the base) that sucks in ambient air and pumps it through the HEPA
filters to remove all impurities. The refreshed air, then blows out
from the top of the structure. I can see this as a helpful prop in
malls where I can rest after a serious session of retail therapy.
I
work from home, so I dont have much of a clue about office
environments and the arid-AC-air. But I take my friends word for it,
that office air sucks! Many try and prep-up the air by adding pots of
plants, but thats another hassle of maintenance, she says. I suppose
this Breathing Partition Stand will be good for an office. It has an
exclusive area to place the plants whilst acting as a divider between
work-desks. An automatic watering system takes care of the watering
chore, and it would be a good idea to place low-maintenance varieties
Heres
the thing, you know you have to recycle waste, and many of us go
through the motions, but theres a percentage that finds excuses for
not doing so. With the Braun Envi urban dustbin, you are actually doing
your bit by promoting composting from biodegradable waste. Basically
when you toss your apple core into this bin, bio-reactive substances
based on photo catalysis start doing their job and rehashes the trash
as compost. The substances also remove odors and speed up the process.
The idea is to use these huge bins in public spaces, where people can
drop their biodegradable trash, and the compost be collected and used
later on.
Plants
still do a much better job at sequestering carbon into oxygen than
anything else. They naturally filter the air too and thats why our
green friends are a-okay with me. Problem is my green thumb is cursed.
I cant even keep a cactus alive. The O2 air purifier takes the pain
out of the game. Place your potted plant on the O2 and water as usual.
Excess water is evaporated and the system accelerates the process of
photosynthesis, not to mention keeps tabs on our green friends so
youll always know when they need water.µ
