Prophecy
Dit gedicht is gebaseerd op volgende song: Klaxons - Hello 23 (Geen youtube video beschikbaar)
Cities lay in ruin near the Broken Mountain Where fumes still poison those alive Blood still floods in the centre fountain Where dragons started to revive
If you can predict all these random events They start to form a prophecy Find out what this vivid dream represents to some extent an odyssey
There’s no way out You can’t escape What’s to be your destiny
Statues speak of an aged Wolf Mother Fabled to bring us our end A wolfman turning to his fellow brother Tells “you’d better run, my friend”
If you can predict all these random events They start to form a prophecy Find out what this vivid dream represents to some extent an odyssey
There’s no way out You can’t escape What’s to be your destiny
A vision formed of a mythic Death Lance Putting the wolf mother to rest With sword in hand a final dragon’s dance Saving what is left at best
If you can predict all these random events They start to form a prophecy Find out what this vivid dream represents to some extent an odyssey
There’s no way out You can’t escape What is to be your destiny
A murder leading to the fabled Destiny The leash is on the innocent The Random starts to set some clarity As the chances seem to bend
A leash is holding those of fabled Destiny The dice roll ever randomly Five sixes tell you of your endless Luck streak Repeating the sequence you seek
Since Fate started meddling with circumstances The Arbitrary fails to connect You seem to hold the utmost best of chances The outcome always what you expect
A leash is holding those of fabled Destiny Your dices rolling randomly The snake eyes setting you some clarity Luck died with your Destiny

When you talk to me I think of other things unrelated to the subject(Distracted)
An epic song in the back of your head In that part of the brain supposed to be long dead However you remembered is just a guess Another puddle in the mess
Another friend you hate to be with A word becoming legend fading to myth By a twist of your sickened mind Another point of view you find
An epic song in the back of your head Another friend’s monster under your bed Whatever makes sense is whatever came first After a nip of your drink you won’t die of thirst
Connected by the meaningless Leading your mind to instantly digress Whatever makes more sense Was the first thing to commence
Lost in the conversation The main subject a fixation Your thoughts already leading you away To whatever nonsense you might say
The cup half empty The cup half full A matter of perception Still empty is empty And full stays full
A heart bursting with emotions A heart feeling as empty as a hole Not a matter of perception Because the heart is filled with emotion Yet you need two hearts to make one whole
Tightening my grip around the sand As a single grain escapes my hand A tear falls equally fast Yet still the grain it passed Did it know before I did?
That single grain means everything The first of more to come Another step closer to what is not Is this what it is; playing God?
Death enshrouds me with each falling grain While each one leaves a permanent stain This eminent death is coming fast As every forced breath seems closer to my last
Slipping through these tired hands Devoured by relentless sands A drop of blood colouring my fate Leaving me in this weary state
The absence of sleep is getting to me In the distance calling out to me A call that I cannot resist As death is poking me with its fist
Holding the power over life Isn’t this to what we all strife? And still I have so little control While paying such a heavy toll
Life within these sands Held in these tired hands Slowly but surely Fading

The Dragon's Flight
She soared up in the sky Let out a gruesome cry Alarming the Silver knight Who followed her through the Blight
The dragon’s flight Unrelenting Day and night Never ending
Picking up the track The woods blazing black Stepping up the pace Not giving up the chase
The dragon’s flight Devastating Flames in the night Escalating
The Silver’s eyes notice The upcoming White Lotus A sacred Dragon’s den He never dared enter again
The dragon’s flight Reaching an end Now in sight Mind and body blend
Blazing fires reach the Dragon charmer Raging flames melting his armour An enormous lance piercing white scales Cracking the lance, the Silver sees he fails
Blown away by dragon claws Barely escaped the incoming jaws And then, A simple gesture from his part Which conquered her heart
The dragon’s flight Ended by a cracked lance The Silver knight’s fight Was their final dance
Winds of fire soar the sky Bringing clouds to slowly die Vaporizing by the flames All of them the fire claims
No birds flock, not anywhere That high up, none would dare Burning flesh and rotting meat Cremated by the unbearable heat
The skies alight, a fiery red Signing the other elements death The earth crusted, drying out The air consumed by flames throughout The waters ran but by long ran out
Waiting for that burning heart to put the fire out
