Miley spent 2010 hell-bent on destroying her squeaky-clean “Hannah Montana” image. Her wardrobe became increasingly skimpy, her on-stage performances became increasing risqué(she simulated a girl-on-girl kiss during a June concert), and the music videos in support of her new album, appropriately titled “Can’t Be Tamed,” became increasingly steamy. In October, the Parents Television Council slammed Miley, saying in a statement: “Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly.” But Miley, who turned 18 in November, has shown no remorse for her controversial march to adulthood. Who knows how far the now-adult Miley will push the envelope in 2011.

Miley Cyrus is putting on a happy face these days, one often seen slobbering all over Avan Jogia.
But friends of the singer tell Hollywood Life that she's actually suffering a lot in the face of her parents' divorce, as they fear she's headed down a Demi Lovato-like, destructive path.
“Miley is trying to be strong going through her parents' breakup and she loves them both,” a friend claims. “Everyone is reading into each of her every moves, like when she goes out with her mom and no one sees her dad. It’s pushing her buttons.”
With filming on the film LOL underway, this source says Cyrus is "trying to focus on her new movie." However:
"Some of us are worried about her. She’s putting on a brave face, but she seems tired and stressed.”
Miley Cyrus Treats Mom to Post-Holiday Girls' Day Out
How do you top off a Thanksgiving dinner? If you're birthday girl Miley Cyrus, you treat your mom to a girls' day out.
After celebrating the holiday at their Toluca Lake, Calif., home, Cyrus, who turned 18 Nov. 23, and her mom Tish braved the holiday shoppers Friday to get their nails done and share a casual ladies' lunch.
At Cosmo Nails in Toluca Lake, "Miley and her mom enjoyed pedicures and seemed very happy to spend some alone time," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "They kept chatting and were both in a great mood. Miley treated her mom and she was very sweet and also left a great tip."
Later, during lunch at Panera Bread, "Tish and Miley kept hugging at the table. They were talking a lot and both seemed very happy," an observer says. "A few fans approached Miley and she was very nice to them."
Miley's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, spent the holiday in Nashville after recentlyfiling to divorce Tish.
Miley Had Dinner with Liam Hemsworth on Her Birthday
After having new rumored lover Avan Jogia at her pre-birthday bash, Miley Cyrus was reportedly accompanied by her old flame, Liam Hemsworth, when she officially turned 18 on Tuesday, November 23. According to X17 Online, Miley and Liam spent Tuesday night together at sushi restaurant Matsuda in the San Fernando Valley.
Miley and Liam allegedly had a casual dinner with a group of friends. Of the gathering, a source told the site, “Miley was relaxed and having fun and of course there was a connection between her and Liam. They dated for so long and were so serious it’s like they can’t deny their special relationship with each other.”
Though so, Miley and Liam managed to avoid being photographed together. While the Australian heartthrob left the restaurant through the back door, the “LOL: Laughing Out Loud” actress and her pals met the paparazzi outside the venue to distract them.
Despite the dinner, there has been no word on whether or not Miley and Liam are back together. Following their second split earlier this month, Miley has been romantically linked to Avan. The two were recently photographed engaged in a heavy make-out session. Liam himself was also spotted getting cozy with model Yolanda Vendy at a nightclub in Melbourne.
Miley Cyrus has been “acting out” since her parents announced they’re getting divorced.
The Hannah Montana star — who earlier this week celebrated her 18th birthday — is devastated dad Billy Ray and mom Tish have split and apparently blames her career for the destruction of their marriage.
“Miley’s spinning out of control,” a worried pal told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “She carries a lot of guilt — most of Billy Ray and Tish’s arguments were over her career.
“She’s acting out in the worst possible way.
“This is a girl searching for herself.”
Recent reports have claimed Miley’s career tore her family apart.
“The fight over Miley is what tore Tish and Billy Ray apart. They can’t agree on how to raise her, and it’s wrecked their marriage,” an insider said.
“Billy Ray thinks Miley is becoming a spoiled-brat monster – and he thinks it’s ALL Tish’s fault.
“They’ve had screaming matches for years.
“Billy Ray doesn’t like that he was eclipsed by his daughter’s stardom.
“He used to be the biggest star in country music and he wants his old life back.”

So is Miley Cyrus really going away from her “Hannah Montana” days by posing for Playboy? That seems to be the rumor that is spreading like wildfire around the internet — however, there’s really not much there in the way of truth.
So where exactly did all this talk come from? Really, we just have to look at a comment Hugh Hefner made on the matter with Fox News:
“The simple answer is she is the one that you and all the other readers would like to see. That person changes every month and year, it depends on who the hot celebrity of the month is.”
Even though Hefner is answering a question about Miley, he not only goes without mentioning her name — he also doesn’t even claim that they have made the 18-year old an offer.
So everyone step away from the panic button — this is not happening and we have nothing to worry about.
“Every time I look into the mirror, I don’t like what I’m seeing,” say Miley Cyrus. “I have all these old pictures of when I was a little kid and I can see that I was really cute back then, but lately I just seem to be more homely every time I look. I’m worried that everyone else is noticing it too.”
“I hate my eyebrows; they look like they’re just one straight dark line across my forehead. My nose would look OK–but only if it were on some other face. And don’t get me started about my mouth; it just doesn’t go with the rest of me at all.”
“Sure, all the guys like my legs,” said Miley, “but that’s probably because their minds are in the gutter. I’m thinking that maybe I should just go and join a convent. That way, nobody pays much attention to what you look like. Oh well, at least my Dad is always telling me how pretty I am. I love my Dad.”
Sources say the Hannah Montana actress — who recently celebrated her 18th birthday — is panicking about growing old in Hollywood.
“Miley loves being successful — she doesn’t know anything else. But she’s worried she could end up washed up like all the other former teen stars out there.
“Turning 18 has got Miley thinking about her future in Hollywood and how she’s going to keep her career white-hot for as long as she wants it to be.”
Miley — who split from boyfriend Liam Hemsworth earlier this year — recently insisted she puts her career above all anything else — even her love life.
“I definitely don’t want people to think I’m trying to get married anytime soon,” she said. “I’m way too driven right now, first of all, I’m 17, it’s ridiculous, and second of all, I’ve got so much work I want to get done. I have so much to do, there’s no way it’s happening.
“I don’t need any type of commitment. I’m not living with anybody. I live at home, I still live with my mom, dad and family.”
The Climb hitmaker also revealed she doesn’t feel ready for a big romantic commitment because she wants to experience life and make some mistakes first.
“I’m not engaged, I’m not getting married anytime soon. I don’t need to do anything but sit and chill and enjoy life, and make good music – music that I love – and that’s the most important thing,” she said.
“I’m just living life and learning and going through what everyone has to go through. I’m just figuring out who I am and that is going to be through mistakes and experiences.”
Mike Posner on Miley Cyrus: âWeâre Not Datingâ
Pop singer Mike Posner is denying allegations that he and Miley Cyrus are an item. “We’re not dating,” he tells PopEater.
Posner explained that while the two are definitely friends, Cyrus is just too young for him.
“She’s a nice girl, but I’m 22 and a half,” he said at Rolling Stone magazine’s American Music Awards after party. Cyrus turns 18 on Nov. 23.
Rumors linking the two young stars began to circulate after they were seen together following the MTV European Music Awards in Madrid earlier this month.
While Posner says that all he wants for Christmas is a girlfriend — one his own age — Miley is not giving up that easily. Several sources are reporting that Posner is on the top of the “super-exclusive” guest list for the pop star’s 18th birthday party.
Dolly Parton is not a fan of Miley Cyrus’ raunchy new image and fears the young star is “surrounded” by advisers who are steering her career in the wrong direction.
The country legend has known Cyrus since she was a baby and has previously labelled the 18-year-old singer/actress her “honorary goddaughter”.
The Hannah Montana star has shed her clean-cut image in recent months, wearing increasingly saucy outfits and shocking fans with provocative stage performances.
Parton is adamant she hasn’t “encouraged” the youngster to flash the flesh, and fears Cyrus may be getting bad advice from her managers.
She tells Larry King, “Hopefully she didn’t get that from me because I certainly never encouraged her to do any of that… I think she’s just in a cross – she’s just kind of in a crosswinds trying to overcome the Hannah Montana little girl, and trying to become a young woman… I don’t know if she’s surrounded by people that are helping (her to) not make the wise decisions…”
And Parton is worried showbusiness is becoming increasing tough on young girls like Cyrus, adding: “I think this day and time life is hard for young people, certainly young girls… The world is just… you just can’t flaunt enough. You can’t just do enough. You can’t just talk trashy enough or dress trashy enough. It seems to be like if you don’t do that you’re not in the in crowd. So I think that there’s a lot of pressure just on young people in general and I think they put a lot of pressure on themselves…”
But the 9 To 5 hitmaker remains hopeful the former Disney star will grow out of her rebellious ways: “I’m hoping that Miley is going to be just fine. I know she’s very gifted and I love her dearly and if she ever needs me I’ll do everything I can to help her in any way that I can. So I think we should just let her grow up.”
