Before Miley Cyrus embarks on her Gypsy Heart Tour on April 27, she has a message for fans and followers: "My family is good."
The singer made this statement to The Associated Press, clearing up months of rumors and controversy, most of it centered on her parents' split, subsequent reconciliation and the scandalous comments her father made in between.
Heading to South America in a couple weeks, Cyrus said "you have to make sure everyone is happy before you start traveling."
And it sounds like they are. But is there a problem between Miley and her U.S. fans? Asked why she isn't playing any concerts in the States, the artist made an interesting comment:
"I just think right now America has gotten to a place where I don't know if they want me to tour or not. I just want to go to the places where I am getting the most love, and Australia and South America have done that for me.
The former Hannah Montana star — who has come under fire for her scantily clad outfits and outrageous behavior — says she’s not trying to make a “statement”.
“It’s not about how far I can push things so people will believe I’m not Hannah Montana anymore,” Miley says. “You just make the music that you love and because I’m growing up, you know, so does my music.
“It’s not about trying to make a statement about growing up. You know … you just do.”
After a year-and-a-half sabbatical from the social networking site, the teen star rejoined Twitter on Monday. She took over the official feed for her upcoming Gypsy Heart Tour and posted this message: "'Do not fear...the Sheenius is here!' I'm not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow @charliesheen #winning."
Cyrus had 1.1 million Twitter followers when she abruptly quit the social networking site in October 2009, saying, "I want my private life private". Her then-boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, was also blamed as the reason she quit Twitter, since Cyrus referenced him in her final Tweet. "FYI Liam doesn't have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason," she wrote.
Although Cyrus Tweeted that she doesn't plan to resurrect her old @mileycyrus account "any time soon," she's using the @gypsyhearttour account as a personal account, posting a photo of her dog Lila and Tweeting about eating dinner with her family.
She also reached out to Jaden Smith, writing, "Let's take over the world together! Starting with Disney Land! PS I'm totes laying around eating chocolate watching Hancock."
Rumours have been going round for a few days that Miley has started dating once ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, after dropping a few hints in a few interviews! They were pictured at Coffee Bean together yesterday (31st March).
