Aquarian winter
Cold
Bitter cold
Seeping, creeping, crawling
within every vein, and mauling,
the inexplicable experience of
shivering near death.
Snow
Gritflaked snow
Gusting, whining, sneering
through every pore, and nearing,
the antarctic mindscape of
freezing like death.
Ice
Treacherous ice
Crackling, icicling, frosting
off every cell, and boasting,
the inevitable implosion of
melting in death.
Resurrection came
and winter fled,
no more harrowing by death.
Cold memories were swift forgot
the remnants left, to gently rot.
Warmth came back
and life took over,
new light conquered, all over.
Broad vistas of illumination revealed
a wondrous world, thoroughly healed.
