Since several people have been asking me if I stopped taking pictures, I thought it was time to put some more online. I have to say that during the last months I haven't been taking a lot of pictures. Too busy with other things is one reason... Probably when winter is gone, I'll try to put some more time in it. Enjoy and comment plz.
Despite having a good time in Athens, I wanted to visit an island. I finally decided to go to Koufonisia. It's a small island in the Cyclades with an area of 3.5 km² and 366 inhabitants. The ferry left from Piraeus towards Sifnos, Paros, Naxos, Iraklia, Schinoussa, Koufonisia and Amorgos. Only the ferry trip is already worth it's money. The sea was as flat as a pancake, beautifull sky with small clouds, nice view over different islands and I saw 5 dolphins! Arriving at 2.00 at night on the island, I headed east to find a good spot to set up my tent. I finally arrived in Pori bay witch looked, despite the darkness, very beautifull. Waking up and seeing it during daylight was amazing! During my stay, I discovered the whole island (as it is so small) and found many beautifull places.
Kea, one of the islands you pass by
Beautifull Gala beach, noth east of the island
Except those 2 fishermen, I spend the whole day alone on this beach without seeing nobody
Cave witch connects the small beach with the sea. The view underwater is undescribable, must see this!
Feeling that you are the only person on earth, great!
Incredible Pori bay. Shallow sandy bay, picture taken from the taverna witch serves low priced dishes. Spend my first night on this beach.
Piscina or swimming pool
Cristal clear water
View of Keros, taken from the taverna on Finikas beach. visit www.finikaskoufonisia.gr Here you can feel the real hospitality of the Greek people. A 'must go to' place.
