For my mother mother's day (15/8) and birthday (24/8), we, my sis and me, arranged a boat trip. It was on Sunday the 17 th, we left at 8.30 a.m., drove for an hour a bit more to Aalst, where we boarded. At ten the boat left, it was a nice trip through a river called the Dender,, the distance was only 25 km but it took us 6 hours to our destination. The bus brought us back in half an hour. It was very nice, nice views, lots of herron's, and a guide who knew a lot. We took our own picnic and snacks and had a great day.

All along the coast these bunkers are lying around, just like somebody has dropped them. It is a "funny" site.
After all those years, nature has got the better of them.
