"SOUL MATES"

There are many people
that do not understand
This very special bond
between a woman and a man
Perhaps they have even
taken a look around
But, their Soul Mate
has never been found



And, it really is
very sad to say
Some, will not find
their Soul Mate
as they pass this way
I never believed in Soul Mates
until I met you
But, once we met
I just knew


You and I, need not
speak a word
For everything we think
will still be heard
Just a passing glance
is all that it takes
To share a thought
between Soul Mates



Each beat of our heart
Has a poem to share
Loving words of rhyme
Put together with care



Just you and I alone
With no one else around
We hear each others poetry
But, our mouth
speaks not a sound



The words in our hearts
embrace the whole book
Our eyes speak every word
with one impassioned look
