- In the opening match, Kurt Angle defeated Kazarian to become the new #10 Contender to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, forcing Kazarian to tap out to his Ankle Lock submission.
- Douglas Williams successfully defended the TNA X Division Championship, beating Kendrick with a Tornado DDT for the pin.
- Madison Rayne successfully defended the TNA Knockouts Women's championship, beating Roxxi. before the bout, Rayne challenged Roxxi to put her career on the line, which Roxxi agreed. Rayne then attacked Roxxi with the microphone, bloodying her. Later Rayne hit her finisher to get the win on Roxxi to retain the gold and end Roxxi's TNA career.
- Jesse Neal of Ink Inc. beat his mentor Brother Ray of Team 3D. Before the bout, Brother Ray acted like he was apologizing to Neal, but it was just a double-cross as Ray attacked him instead. Later, in a surprise appearance, Tommy Dreamer made his TNA Wrestling debut by coming down through the stands during the bout, hitting his trademark pose as Brother Ray looked on. Ray went for a senton on Neal, but he missed and Jesse Neal hit his spear for the pin and the win. After the bout, Tommy Dreamer exited the arena with a smile on his face! What's next for Dreamer in TNA? Find out Thursday night at 9/8c on SpikeTV!
- The returning Hernandez was disqualified against "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan. Morgan tried to fake an injury before the bout by wearing a neckbrace and producing a doctor's note, but Hernandez attacked him. Hernandez was on the warpath and tried to choke out Morgan and even tossed the referee, leading to the ref giving Morgan the win via disqualification. After the bout, Hernandez tried to get revenge on Morgan by nailing him with his boot against the guardrail on the outside of the ring (like Morgan injured Hernandez) but Morgan pulled the referee into the strike instead.
- In the violent and chaotic Monster's Ball match, Abyss defeated Desmond Wolfe after Chelsea helped Abyss by tossing him brass knuckles. Chelsea originally accompanied Wolfe to the ring since her 30 days with Abyss were up, but she clearly has other ideas right now. In the end, Wolfe was yelling at Chelsea to give him her purse loaded with the brass knuckles, but her purse was empty. However, she instead gave it to Abyss, allowing "The Monster" to use it on Wolfe and hit the Black Hole Slam for the win!
- In an amazing match, Jay Lethal defeated "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles! Lethal injured AJ's knee with the figure four leglock, which ended up gaining Lethal the advantage. Late in the bout, Styles tried to come off the turnbuckles with his injured knee, but it gave out on him and Lethal caught him with a suplex for the big win. After the bout, Kazarian came out while Flair was yelling at Styles for losing. Flair left the arena with Kazarian, while AJ nursed his knee in the ring.
- The team of "The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson beat Beer Money. In the end, Beer Money had Anderson set up for their DWI finisher, but Hardy made the save. Anderson then hit Roode with his Mic Check finisher for the victory! After the bout, both Anderson and Hardy declared each other the winner.
- In the main event for the World Heavyweight Championship, Rob Van Dam retained the gold against Sting! In the end, after the referee got knocked out, Sting attempted to use his black bat on RVD, but Jeff Jarrett came out to make the save! Jarrett used the bat on Sting, allowing Van Dam to get the upper hand. RVD and Sting traded high-impact moves, but RVD hit the Frog Splash for the win and the victory!

Apparently there was a lot of heat backstage at last nights TNA Slammiversary when Roxxi showed up at the building and was informed that her match with Madison Rayne would be with her career on the line. Roxxi was described as visibly upset before and after her match.
Roxxi was working on a nightly deal with TNA and was brought back to fill the void after Tara left and Angelina Love & Daffney went out with injuries. With Love and Daffney ready to return, its possible TNA creative didnt have anything for Roxxi after last nights show.
John Cena wants Daniel Bryan back in WWE Posted by Roscoe De Soto on 06/13/2010 at 08:32 PM
John Cena posted the following on his Twitter account WWEJCena:
"CeNation. 1st, the word is jimbrone. Not jabroni, jaybronee, yadda yadde. Jim Brone. It is an very ancient term that was a predecessor to The iron shieks jabroni, which was then adopted by the rock...and of course made famous. Second....
I am very upset to hear about the release of bryan danielson. Social networks were formed so people would have a voice, and an opinon. I Know you all have your own, theories and whatnot. I respect that. I have never asked any of you to feel a certaint way about me. But Bryan left a lasting impression on the wwe universe in a very short time, and although it came at my expense, I agree with the majority of you who are caught off guard by this choice.
I know I'm not exactly appreciated by all, nor do I care to be, but I believe what I believe. I would like bryan to come back to the wwe.
I would like to sign your petition to bring him back. I was taught to stand up for what I beileve in. I tried and failed, so I could Use some help. Tell me how to sign and I will. If for nothing else, to at least have a chance to have a match with him after what was done
I know that seems a bit more fair. Give me a chance to have a fair match with him, and give him yet another chance to prove that he does"
- As noted before, NXT season 2 Rookie Lucky Cannon was formerly known as Johnny Prime in WWE developmental. Apparently he was given the Lucky Cannon name because WWE didn't want anymore John's on the roster.
Daniel Bryan Release Update; When He Found Out Posted by Steve Carrier on 06/13/2010 at 12:06 PM
Partial source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
- Despite what's being reported, there are still some wrestlers and employees within WWE who think the Daniel Bryan release is an angle. However, all indications are that he has indeed been released.
Officials told everyone in the company from marketing people to doctors about his departure. Bryan Danielson is already seeking work on the independent scene. The final decision to release Bryan was made early Friday and he was informed shortly before WWE announced it on their website.
WWE gave him the impression that they would work together in the future but gave him no timetable on a return. Most within the company are feeling bad for Danielson because he was basically a scapegoat in the whole situation.
Danielson's last match with WWE was on Wednesday night at the FCW event in Florida where he took part in a continuation of the NXT invasion. Obviously the invasion angle will be hurt now with his departure as he was considered the most well-rounded star of the group.
News regarding the Knockouts pay controversy Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 06/13/2010 at 12:23 PM
Credit: F4WOnline.com
Many of the TNA Knockouts are still only earning Indy salaries and rely on outside bookings (and in some cases regular jobs) to make a fair living. Some thought when Hogan and Bischoff came in things would change, but Christy Hemme a non-wrestler, is the highest paid female in the company.
This is one of the reasons that Awesome Kong soured on the company and why Gail Kim never re-signed.
One has to wonder why they would pay them so poorly, when historically they've had the highest rated segments on the show.

Dolph Ziggler (PHOTOS | WATCH) With Official SmackDown Consultant Vickie Guerrero at his side, Dolph Ziggler hoped for a victory similar to the one he enjoyed over Christian in a recent 2-on-1 Handicap Match arranged by Vickie on WWE Superstars. Although Christian got the win with a sunset splash, that didnt stop Ziggler from capitalizing on an assault from Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer. With their 30-day contract to make an impact on SmackDown expiring at midnight, the duo made a final push to join the roster by leveling Captain Charisma from behind. After the assault, Ziggler locked Christian in his infamous sleeper hold, while Vickie smiled gleefully from outside the ring.

Samoa Joe could be nearing a big push in TNA Wrestling. I've been told for months Hulk Hogan is high up on him but there was a hang up over his weight. Dixie Carter recently posted on Twitter Joe has been getting great responses at live events and has always been very high up on him.
Dixie Carter comments on the "change" rumors Posted by Corbin Nordhoff on 06/12/2010 at 01:11 AM
Credit: PWInsider.com
When asked about the rumors circulating that there is going to be a creative change to TNA, Dixie Carter told Mike Johnson that the stories going around aren't correct. Carter said her surprise is about "true change" and it is something on a much larger, grander scale.
It's being said that nobody in TNA knows for sure what is going to happen expect for Carter herself.
Carter also said that this change wasn't designed to take place at Slammiversary, but apparently there is another surprise being teased for the PPV.
Thanks to Jarrett Cox of TNAStars.com for the following recap:
Opening Segment
A music video to the tune of Fractured by Taproot plays that recaps the events of last weeks iMPACT. We cut straight to fireworks and Taz and Tenay, which plug Angles in ring return and Sting/RVD for TNA Slammiversary VIII.
AJ Styles comes out with Kazarian right behind him and Desmond Wolfe and Beer Money following the rear. AJ says that because of Hogan and Bischoff, they have an 8-man tag match tonight. AJ emphasizes that there is four to a team. He mentions there were 4 Beatles, The Fantastic Four, and the 4 Horsemen. AJ says hes got a solution and its real simple: Kazarian is out. Kazarian throws a fit as AJ tells him to hit the bricks and call back next year.
Ric Flairs music blares but instead of Flair coming out, Jay Lethal comes out instead. Jay says that the Nature Boy is in the house and WHOOOOO!!! Did I hear AJ Styles say hes in charge? Jay says that AJ isnt the man and that he was. He says he looking at god right now. He says hes wearing $500 shoes and a $5,000 suit. He tells AJ he should be ashamed of what hes wearing. AJ tells him to look at the label and Lethal says it says Walmart ((The Walmart label is actually called George and when did he look in my closet??)) He takes off his jacket and throws it on the ground before dropping his elbow on it. Lethal says hes a 16, 16, 16 time World Champion and hes going to introduce his team. Jay says he specializes in big men and introduces Abyss. Lethal says as far as Chelsea goes: Shell be comin around the mountain buddy when she comes WHOOOOO!!!! Next is the man so nice they named him twice, Mr. Anderson. Anderson does the strut with Lethal before he says the other Anderson ((Nice? I thought he was supposed to be an asshole)) AJ says hes got all of these men behind him, except Kazarian, he doesnt count, and hes only got three guys. Lethal says the big man counts twice. Lethal says he doesnt want to wait till later tonight and they go to the ring. The heels get advantage easy before Jeff Hardys music plays. Desmond waits at the ramp for him, but Hardy comes through the crowd and clears house.
Hervey-cam with Brian Kendrick, whos meditating and now understands his purpose: hes here in TNA to capture the X-Division Title.

Brian Kendrick vs. Homicide
Before the bell rings Douglas Williams comes out and sits at the commentary desk. Homicide backs Kendrick to the corner and breaks clean, but Kendrick mouths off to Homicide and gets laid out. Homicide tries to tear his mouth open before laying him out again with a clubbing forearm to the back. Another face gouge, but Kendrick boots him in the gut on the break. Homicide starts wailing on Kendrick before going for the Cop Killa but Kendrick escapes and tries a charge but eats elbow. Homicide with a t-bone suplex for 2, then puts the boots to Kendrick and chokes him out with his foot. Homicide hits two facewashs and then a Michinoku Driver for only a 2 count. Homicide hits a few more offensive moves before choking Kendrick with his wrist tape. Homicide goes to the outside and gets in a toolbox, letting the fans decide whether he should use a hammer or a flathead screwdriver. Homicide gets in the ring, argues with the referee and Kendrick takes advantage by booting Homicide in the face and getting a three count. Winner by pinfall: Brian Kendrick
Backstage security is trying to hold back Brother Ray and Jesse Neal
-Commercial Break-
Jesse Neal is in the ring calling Brother Ray out while Shannon Moore is trying to calm him down. Security blocks Team 3D from going in the ring with Brother Devon still trying to calm Ray down. Ray finally gets in the ring, with security standing in between Team 3D and Ink Inc. Ray tells Jesse to go ahead and say what he has to say. Jesse says that if Ray has a problem, to have the balls to settle it face to face and to stop laying them out and leaving cards on them. Ray says he doesnt know what hes talking about, but Jesses turned into an arrogant punk, and he needs to remind Jesse that hes one of the most legit tough guys in the business and its getting to the point where he needs to take him out. Jesse says he always showed him respect, and Ray says he doesnt need his accolades because hes nobody, and before he came to Team 3D he was nothing more than a failure in the Navy. After Slammiversary, if Brother Ray has anything to do with it, hell be a failure in the wrestling business too. Ray calls Shannon a bitch and says that if he has something to say, then say it. Shannon says that the Book Of DILLIGAF says hes a bully and a douchebag, then tells him to take his puppet and get out of here. Devon seems to take offense to that, but tells Shannon hell give him a pass on that. Jesse apparently gets a pass because they trained him, but Devon never liked Shannon from the beginning, but he understood the situation. Devon then turns around and tells Ray that he needs to get his head on straight and leave Jesse alone. Devon drops the microphone and walks off. Ray pauses to consider this, then suckerpunches Jesse from behind and runs off.
-Commercial Break-
We come back to a replay of the Jeff Jarrett vs. Sting match from TNA Sacrifice last month and a plug for Jeff Jarrett commenting on Sting.
Before we go to commercial though, Eric Bischoff and Miss Tessmacher with Matt Morgan. Bischoff tells Morgan that Hogan is waiting with his tag Team Partner
-Commercial Break-
Okay, we go to the Jeff Jarrett interview, which is spliced with video clips flashing us back in the Jarrett-Sting feud. Jarrett says that at Sacrifice, the guy we saw was not the Sting hes known for years. Jeff says that Hogan coming to TNA was a blessing, but Sting doesnt see it that way. Jeff has a special connection to Slammiversary, but now hell have to explain to his three daughters why hell be home instead of at Slammiversary this year. He promises that hell be back, and hell get his answers.
Morgan comes to the ring and waits on Hogan. ((Hopefully it will be quick and painless. Hogan and Morgan dont interest me)) Hogan comes out and Morgan the biggest crybaby hes ever seen. Hogan has never seen someone stab so many people in the back before ((What, your heel turn in WCW doesnt count? You turned on an entire company)) If Morgan shook hands with the fans hed steal their wallets ((Cryme Tyme reference in TNA?)) Hogan says everything hes done is about to come back to him right now, and introduces his partner Hernandez! Hernandez comes running down the ramp and dives over the ropes onto Morgan and starts kicking the crap out of him. Hernandez beats Morgan out of the ring, around ringside, and back in the ring and continues to physically annihilate Morgan. Hogan is on commentary and said that what comes around goes around and also he is making Morgan vs. Hernandez for Slammiversary. As Hernandez was leaving the Band comes out to defend the TNA titles.
Matt Morgan is tied to a stretcher, as they were about to wheel him out. Eric Young covers Morgan to end the match Winner by pinfall and still the Tag Team Champions: the Band
We go backstage to Christy with Rob Van Dam, and she wants to know what RVD thinks of Stings recent behavior. RVD says his strategys the same, and he knows Sting wants the belt, but hes going to have to come get it from him because hes Rob Van Dam. Sting nails RVD from behind with the bat, chokes him with the bat, then stands over him and starts wailing on him with rights and lefts. Sting grabs the title belt and walks off as RVD is left lying.
-Commercial Break-
They replay the attack on RVD from before the commercial break. RVD asks where his belt is, and Christy says Sting took it. RVD goes looking for Sting.
Kurt Angle comes to the ring and says that hes going to wrestle Frankie Kazarian at Slammiverary, and Kazarian is an excellent X-Division wrestler. With that in mind, he asked a good friend of his to come out and face him tonight to help him prepare for Kazarian, and he told him to hold nothing back. Amazing Red comes out, shakes Kurts hand before the bell rings
Kurt Angle vs. Amazing Red
Angle starts off the match by taking Red down with a shoulderblock, but Red catches him with an armdrag and a flying headscissors. Red reverses a German Suplex only to get caught in overhead belly to belly instead. Angle takes a charge but Red uses his momentum to send him to the floor. Red leaps off the apron with another flying headscissors on the floor, then rolls Kurt back in. Red goes for a springboard something, but Angle moves and Red crashes into the mat. Angle follows that up by flattening him with a clothesline. Angle keeps his momentum until Red reverses a suplex into a DDT. Red goes to the apron and gets a springboard DDT for a very close 2, but Angle comes out of nowhere with a German Suplex. The straps come down and Angle goes for the Angle Slam, but Red gets out and gets a Shining Wizard and a Frankensteiner ((That looked pretty bad, it drove Angles head right into the mat)) Red misses another high flying move and Angle hits the Angle Slam for the win. Winner by Pinfall: Kurt Angle
We go backstage to Sting, who says that he is in possession of the belt, but after this Sunday hell own it. Right now the word of the day is deception, and thats what the belt represents right now: deception. He turns the belt around to show that hes defaced it by scrawling the word deception across the front. Sting says that change is coming, and its Showtime. Sting gets a good chuckle. ((Leave it to face paint to make someone look so different, he doesnt even look his age. I really hope he decides to stay another year. I love him as a heel))
-Commercial Break-
We go to a video package hyping the history of TNA leading into Slammiversary, and we get comments from Dixie Carter, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, and Sting as they debate the World Title Match. We then run through the rest of the card and Dixie wraps us up by putting over the roster for all their hard work in building TNA into the brand it is today.
Were backstage and following Rob Van Dam as he searches for Sting. He decides to head up to the rafters and search for Sting up there.
AJ Styles, Desmond Wolfe & Beer Money vs Jay Lethal, Abyss, Mr Anderson & Jeff Hardy
Lethal and Roode start and Roode with a knee to the gut and a forearm, then lays in a stiff chop on the ropes, but Lethal with a backwards handspring elbow. Lethal tags in Abyss and he starts working Roode over in the corner. Abyss tries a charge in the corner but Roode moves and Storm comes in to double team Abyss, Abyss goes for a double chokeslam, they fight their way out, but Abyss flattens both of them with a double clothesline and tags Anderson. Anderson works on the arm and then he and Hardy do some quick tags while continuing to target Storms arm. Hardy goes up for the 10 punches in the corner, then mares Storm for 2. Storm goes to the eyes and tags in Wolfe, but Hardy with a vertical suplex for 2. Styles gets tagged in and repeatedly rams his shoulder into the midsection of Hardy. Styles slams Hardy on the mat and drops the knee but only gets two. Wolfe tags back in and all three heels in the corner put up their boots so Wolfe can ram Hardy into them. He tries it again but Hardy reverses and Wolfe goes flying into the boots. Hardy gets caught in the corner, and gets stomped by Wolfe. Anderson and Lethal both try to help, but as the ref is trying to get them out of the ring the heels beat Hardy up. Beer Money hits a double suplex on Hardy and Roode blatantly chokes him before dropping a knee for a 2 count. Roode catapults Hardy into the bottom rope and covers for 2. Hardy tries to make a break for the corner but Beer Money gets him back down and Storm goes to a front facelock. Hardy makes the tag, but the referee was distracted by AJ Styles in the ring so he didnt allow it. Styles tags in and puts the boots to Hardy, but Hardy hits a chinbreaker and spinkicks Styles. Jay Lethal comes in like a house of fire and beats up all the heels. Lethal with a backdrop and neckbreaker on Styles before Wolfe with a DDT on Lethal, but Anderson comes in and hits the Finlay Roll on Wolfe. Everyone comes in and hits their finishers, ending with Wolfe killing Abyss with a lariat. He tells Chelsea, sitting at ringside, to give him her chair, and she hesitates but Desmond ends up grabbing it from her then turns around and gets the chair punched into his face by Abyss. Styles nails Abyss from behind and sends him to the floor. Lethal gets powerbombed and AJ holds on, getting the Styles Clash for a three count. Winners by pinfall: AJ Styles, Desmond Wolfe, and Beer Money
We go backstage to Sting, who says that he wasnt going to make it easy for RVD because its all about deception, and hes going to be right there waiting for RVD.
-Commercial Break-
Backstage RVD is still looking for Sting. He finds him just as Sting jumps from behind him and proceeds to beat him with whatever isnt nailed down, while hes wearing the defaced title belt. RVD is able to fight back as they move toward the concession stand and RVD chokes Sting with the t-shirt rack. RVD rams Sting into the scaffolding under the bleachers as we get closer to the stage. Sting gets a shot in and rams RVD into a garbage can on the other side. They finally make their way out through the crowd and on the ramp that leads to the stage. Sting gains control until they get to the ring where RVD chokes Sting with his jacket. RVD yanks the belt off of Sting and uses his boot to choke him in the courner before hitting a basement dropkick. RVD goes outside and grabs a chair and wedges it in the corner. Sting recovers briefly and starts a comeback, but RVD superkicks him and Sting goes down. RVD comes in for the kill but Sting throws RVD into the chair, then takes it and slams it across RVDs back. Sting reclaims the belt and grabs a mic. Sting tells RVD that the belt is deception and its his until Sunday, then he tosses the belt to RVD and walks off to close the show.
As noted before, Dixie Carter has hyped some major changes coming to TNA on her Twitter account.
There has been a lot of talk that TNA has reached out to big names to work on the creative end of the company. It has been confirmed that two of those names are Kevin Sullivan and Paul Heyman.
Word is that if Paul Heyman would come into TNA, he would need complete control of the creative side of things. It's also confirmed that TNA has talked with Sullivan about coming in.
According to Jason Powell, there is a story going around that TNA president Dixie Carter recently had a phone conversation with Paul Heyman. At this point, Carter has not confirmed or denied that they have spoken or that Heyman is the surprise she has been talking about on Twitter.
The fact that Carter mentioned speaking with Spike TV president Kevin Kay seems to indicated that the surprise is more than just the signing of a new wrestler.
Alicia Fox def. Gail Kim Primo & Zack Ryder def. Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston def. Luke Gallows
Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston def. Luke Gallows (PHOTOS | WATCH) With his NXT Rookie Michael McGillicutty looking on from ringside, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston brought the boom to The Straight Edge Societys Luke Gallows in this volatile, non-title main event. With the beautiful, but dangerous Serena by his side, CM Punks most loyal soldier used his 300-pound frame to keep the high-flying Kingston on the mat for the majority of the match. But Kofis explosiveness simply couldnt be stopped. When the big man went for Gallows Pole, the Intercontinental Champion reversed it into the S.O.S. for the 1-2-3. McGillicutty better have been taking notes.
Primo & Zack Ryder def. Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu (PHOTOS | WATCH) It may seem like the experienced duo of Goldust & Yoshi Tatsu would have an advantage over the unexpected pairing of Primo & Zack Ryder, but consider this both Primo & Ryder held the WWE Tag Team Titles in recent years. This championship experience paid off in tonights bout as the vicious Raw Superstars brought the fight to their bizarre opponents, double teaming and brawling on the outside of the ring to control the momentum. In the end, Long Island Iced Z hit Goldust with the Rough Ryder to pick up his second tag team victory of the week.
Alicia Fox def. Gail Kim (PHOTOS | WATCH) In the wild Viewer's Choice Diva Battle Royal on Mondays Raw, Gail Kim and Alicia Fox ended up eliminating each other in the dangerous fracas. Clearly, this was at the front of each Divas mind as they aggressively battled in the opening bout of WWE Superstars. Despite her experience and ring savvy, the gorgeous Gail had a difficult time stopping the young and hungry Alicia Fox. When the former Womens Champion went for a high-risk maneuver, The Foxy Floridian knocked her off the top rope and nailed the axe kick to pick up an impressive win.
WWE posted the following on their website tonight:
WWE has come to terms on the release of NXT first season rookie Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) as of today June 11, 2010. We wish Daniel Bryan the best in all future endeavors.
- As noted before, the reason being told for Daniel Bryan's release is because of him choking Justin Roberts with his own tie during the NXT invasion angle on RAW.
Word is that someone very important complained to WWE officials about the angle with the idea that kids who were watching may think it's fun to choke people with their ties. It's unknown who actually complained but it had to be someone with a lot of power.
Bryan is being described as a scapegoat. WWE does want to bring him back to the roster once the whole thing blows over.
- There is a lot of speculation right now regarding the WWE release of Bryan Danielson and if it's true or not. There has been some talk that it's a storyline and that "Daniel Bryan" will be returning as Bryan Danielson. It's interesting to note that WWE used both of his names in the release announcement and this would be the first time that they've used the website to announce a fake release.
Around the time that WWE announced it on their website last night, Danielson changed his Twitter username, dropped the WWE references on his page and wrote the following:
"Just changed my twitter name to Bryan Danielson. The winds of change are stirring."
