The pups are now official!! Chipped & DNA'd and vaccinated
We have passports and can travel and are chipped, vaccinated and dna is taken!! What a day, but all were good as gold and let it all happen. Out on the terrace, another warm day, so let's hope this weekend also!!! Oh and we had some water fun yesterday!! It got really warm in the afternoon so just put some water out and they all had great fun!!
Well after they go into the outside kennel, weather permitting, I go in and clean and change bedding!! The before picture and then it shows you the after picture after they come inside and start playing!!! Don't they understand outside is to play and inside to rest!! ENJOY!!!
All got de-wormed and weighed. They all weighed almost 3 kilo, except mr. blue weighs a bit more! We re-arranged the outdoors, so they are less in the sun, because it gets too hot for them. So all outside and of course in the afternoon rain again, so in we went, BUT this morning while we had our outing in the grass, we had a slight panic from me. I went to get water after I had put them on the grass and when I returned, NO PUPPIES!! All gone. Of course I know they cannot get out of the yard but still..... so looking for them and they had gone around the corner and fence and through heavy cover and crawled under the kennel to get to Mom, who loved it. They were going in and out of her Igloo and through the flap doors to get inside then under the panels into Gibbs kennel, who doesn't understand what they are, so was jumping around them and then into Jinks kennel, flying by her and out to the other side, while I was scooping them up and calling them, so they came flying and that was the end of their freedom for then!!! Now pictures and it is mr. Blue's day, all sleeping positions.
My dear friend from Brussel who owns WO Daim & WO image of Blue came with her kids to visit and play with the puppies!!! Luckily we could go outside again. We were in the outside kennel, on the grass and then inside, so lots of playing and socializing.Added Pictures!!
Ok, Yesterday 30 degrees, very humid, not nice for animals and humans!!! And then a friend flew over from Hungary to pick out his puppy ( sorry Henk) and was here for 2 hours and then had to go back. Outside and inside was horrible ,but what can you do except ,do nothing!! So today lots cooler, got all situated outside and then unexpectly it started raining, so got out all the umbrellas and they are fine. Friends with 4 kids will be here this pm and play with the puppers. They already have 2 dogs of WO. Brother to ELi and daughter of Eli/Monty litter!! so lots of excitement for them.
Sorry, busy weekend with visitors from Firday until last night plus pups need more attention and there is only 24 hours in a day, so sorry for not updating daily. They are outside now and have been all day. 2 field trips to the grass part and then the rest on the terrace. Including pictures to see, enjoy!!!
Yesterday was an outdoor day and as you can see, they have no problem going into "cover"!!! Also some disipline eating pictures, which is not easy!! Today we had visitors from friends who own 1 or 2 , WO goldens who came to puppy play and took some, hopefully really good pictures, which I will put on tomorrow!!
Yesterday all are dewormed again & they did not seem to mind it as much now and treated them on some goatmilk right after!! Today they spend about 5 hours outside and seem to be all used to it already ( no screaming anymore) and they also ran around on the grass after it dried up after the rain yesterday. I enlarged the inside kennel, so they can run around some more now!! We'll see what a mess they made of it tomorrow morning. They are really starting to play with the toys now and carrying things around, especially the tops of the whipcream is always a succes, it is light and white, so I assume they can see it good. I also added a crate today, so they can get used to it, since they all have to travel, some an hour plus to Holland, some for 12 hours to Austria and hungary and some by plane to Sweden, so they should just think it is normal and they are piled with three in there right now. Off to pictures!!
Ok, so yesterday afternoon, we had a grand time on the grass for the first time and then NOW, we are having major thunderstorms, pouring down rain, so I guess, no trip outside today. So these pictures are at 4 weeks. We will have a comparison in 3 weeks, how they changed in those weeks and how fast it all goes.
Just received notice from AnneCharlotte, owner of Odin that they received 3rd place in a mocktrial in Sweden and were judged by english, danisch and swedish judges and they were most impressed by Odin!!
Tomorrow 4 weeks, time sure flies and pups do to!! They have these quick spurts around the whelping box and then sleep again. 4 meals of kibble a day now and are doing great. They bark, growl, pull ,shake ,so lively enough!! They all got a size larger collar yesterday. Black male is now beige plaid, Blue male is now light blue plaid, red will be salmon but she still fits her collar and I believe all the other colors stayed the same. Enjoy the pics. Hopefully it will be nice enough to take them on the grass this pm, but we"ll see!!
First time outside yesterday, but they did not like it!!! They screamed and whined for 45 min. and some ot them went into the Igloo and fell asleep and a couple I brought inside. I set it up different now ,with part under the roof , but ofcourse today it rains, so we will have to wait, maybe sunday they can be outside again or at least walk around on the grass for a little bit. They really enjoy the kibbles now, so that is good and building off Eli's part and then next week, she can be off them completely.
FUN Pictures!! And take home buddies getting smelly!!
I got the take home buddies out and put them in the box so they get lots of nest smells and then I will seal them in plastic, so when they leave they have a familiar smell!! 4 meals a day , teeth are coming in and drinking water and still sleep a lot and play after each meal.
Puppers 3 weeks old today!!! Eating 4 meals a day, besides drinking from Mom!! We added a new favorite toy today! Please let me know if there are too many pictures. I sometimes seem to get carried away! This weekend we expect the first visitors from Holland and later in the week, some Whispering Oaks owners to visit and have a look at the pups. Hopefully they can also go outside then. The weather seems to get a little warmer by this weekend.
Yesterday we tried porridge so teach them to lick, instead of suck!! Well not such a succes. The porrigde was everywhere except in the pups, so today we just did the kibbels and I started out with one big saucer. Not a succes, they were laying in it, so this afternoon we did the individuals, so that was a great succes, they have been "'out"' for hours, with a full stomach and tired from the excitement!! They have tripled their weight and are moving and starting to play!!
