Mamba was at a search & rescue training to observe and socialize! Below a link if you want to see more about what they do. I found it amazing and we do not realize what it all involves!!!
Messi thought he was pretty cool , trying to
carry a canadian goose He also climbed into the chair and
settled himself in there and apparently he also got through the gate and climbed
up the stairs!!!
Mamba
was on international S&R course in Ljubljana to observe, while her owner was
teaching.I qoute her owner" The little devil is really fearless and very open.
She was just there with me and playing with all the firefighters and other
doghandlers". So she is being exposed to all kinds of experiences. Matcho
was at a training of older dogs also this weekend, so lots of working exposure
for the puppies. Pictures of Mamba to follow.
Received lots of Pictures of Matcho, so made a collage of them. He looks like an active little boy and so is Messi, who I heard past the gate this morning and went up and down the stairs. No scary things for that one. Pictures of him watching the other golden of Britt in the swimming pool and he did get his feet wet also!!
Messi at home with Frode, the other golden in
the house. It seems they get along very well Messi found some good places
to lay to rest. And when Messi met Odin , his Dad!! Then he went along to a
seminar of trainer Oliver Kiraly from Hungary and Johanna & Andre, watch a
little over him. Johanna owns Ester, from the former litter. Then Mamba who is
playing with a chicken (rubber), so funny that every country , I know has this
chicken
Some pictures of Mamba & Messi on their last day, being outside with nice weather and having fun together . And then saying goodbye to Mamba, who is going to do search & rescue in Slovenia and Messi who goes to Sweden to hunt and also do some Search & rescue training. Good luck to all! All working, that is what you were bred to do.I Hope to receive lots of updates!!
Today Whispering Oaks Matcho went with his new owners Bruno & Germanine to his new home in Switzerland where he will train to find people or objects far into the woods. Bruno is an experienced handler at that and has great woods nearby to train that in. He has experience with all kinds of different breeds doing that ,so Matcho will have a good working home and that is what he is bred to do. Good luck!!!!We will be seeing lots of pictures of him, as his owner loves to take pictures!!
Lots of puppy pictures. Always the last week is very busy.Today the people from Switzerland come and meet their male puppy and take him home tomorrow. The first one to leave the nest Then on monday Slovenia and Sweden leaves on Tuesday. For now some more fun pictures. They ran through the house and we went out in fields and they had lots of outdoor thsi week as the weather was decent!!
Yesterday we all went to the vet and pups DNA was taken, a must right now in Belgium, they were chipped, pasport given and got their 6 week vaccination and they were all checked and declared healthy. The males have their 2 mini balls!! They got the run of the Dr's office, so lots of fun!! In the morning they already had the run of the house ,which is always so much fun to see them explore. Discovering a different, higher water bowl and finding ELi's sleep place with lots of different scents.
Since all three puppies have to travel a distance, two by plane and one by car, I put a kennel in today and they seem to like it, no problem there. Of course they ride in the car in a kennel, but a wire one, so a little different!! Today we drove around and went out on a field and then spend the afternoon outdoor with 20 + temperatures, tomorrow again after the vet visit and then cold again. Enjoy the pictures!!
Pet buddies have arrived and they loved them. First outside with them and then later indoors and now they are sealed in plastic with all the nest smells to take home!!
Just something I realized last saturday when I had the company of Herman, Helma & Annemarie, who own 3 "Whispering Oaks" dogs and came to cuddle the new puppies, that this litter and the last male specific, is the 50th"Whispering Oaks" puppy that is born!!! All but one are still alive and doing great!!! They live all over the world, from Alaska, Atlanta, Bernville, USA, Hungary, Switzerland, Germany, England, Sweden, The Netherlands,Belgium and Slovenia, so an international bunch!!
I would like to thank all the owners for taking great care of them and keeping up to date and sending pictures, results or just stories about their dog!! Please keep it up , I so enjoy hearing about all of them!!!
This morning the temperature was nice ,so I loaded the puppies up in the car and took them along for a car ride to the training fields!! They could not get out yet as the grass was still wet and did not want to take any changes!! It was al about the car ride and they did fine!!
Friends from Holland who own 3 WO goldens came to visit with 2 children,so great for the pups and they were all over and played with and held and they were great, both kids and pups and the dogs all enjoyed the visit. And the 4 week old portraits!!
Pups were also dewormed today and weight and are doing great!!
Let the pups wander out of the whelping box this morning to explore a little. At first they were very sceptical, but that only took a few minutes and off they went. Hopefully this weekend the weather is nice and we can do a little outside exploring!! A picture of pink girl sound asleep, the way her great grandmother & mother sleep a lot!!
So first we tried water and then we tried some real food and then the girl pooped on the box, so a good weekend!!! Mr. red very relaxed and ms. pink laying on my lap sound asleep!! They all weigh more then 2200 + grams, so they are good eaters. Teeth are coming in and they are starting to walk faster instead of the slow motion movement at first.
